Mais les déviations sexistes demeurent, qui empêchent l'analyse rationnelle de se déployer dans les sciences humaines, et l'ouvrage suggère, à cet égard, des perspectives nouvelles pour le développement d'une sociologie des rôles des sexes, libérée d'une lecture androcentriste.
