This book was released on 2017-11-30 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Positive thought, openness to others, the search for the deep meanings of life, pragmatism... these are the base elements of the spiritual message of Falco Tarassaco (Oberto Airaudi, 1950-2013). Eclectic, creative and profound, Falco was the founder of a school of thought that touches countless themes and has given life to the community experience of Damanhur in Italy and around the world. This book presents the fundamental elements of his spiritual guidance, from the discovery of the divine nature of the human being, to our relationship with the environment, and all the way to the development of a sense of wonder and the indispensable curiosity to understand the language of the universe. His dream and his message show his extraordinary capacity to bring together tradition and renewal-two pillars upon which to found our personal and collective future.

Book excerpt: The Damanhur Federation, situated in Valchiusella, North-West Italy, is one of Europe’s longest-lasting spiritual-esoteric communities. Nevertheless, there has hitherto been nearly no scientific study of this group, with the exception of a handful of specialised-journal articles. This collection fills that gap by collating the various scholarly contributions which over the years have dealt with Damanhur, aiming to present the phenomenon to a public of specialists, students and people who are just curious in a volume focusing on the multidisciplinary nature of the community as a whole. We consider the various spheres making up the social, cultural, spiritual and organisational life of Damanhur through analysis and interpretation of its historical evolution and more recent changes which have affected the community since its founder’s death. The contributions combine field research with theoretical reflection, making use of both qualitative (discursive interviews and participant observation) and quantitative (questionnaires) methods.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I exist not because a poet has told my story, but because I am living here and now. Am I more or less true than the mythological heroes? Do I contribute to the world's history more or less than they do? Myth is the ream of the purest values, and it is a real, practical realm, which not only nurtures our imagination, but directs our behaviors towards a specific path. Every myth is curated and lives within us. The myth represents the most comprehensive way to speak about the characteristics of human beings–even when it tells us of Divinities and extraordinary Forces!–and it is the most precise compass to point us in the right direction so that we can express the best side of ourselves. The strength of the myth is to be outside time, or better still, to ride time as a surfer on the waves of the ocean. Damanhur and its philosophy, both inspired by Falco Tarassaco's thought, tell us about the birth of life and the universe through many myths, in which everyone can recognize aspects of themselves and listen to their own voice.

Do you care deeply about the destruction of the environment and would pay higher taxes or prices to clean it up and to stop global warming? Are you unhappy with both the left and the right in politics and want to find a new way that does not simply steer a middle course? In this landmark book, sociologist Paul H. Ray and psychologist Sherry Ruth Anderson draw upon thirteen years of survey research studies on more than 100,000 Americans. They reveal who the Cultural Creatives are and the fascinating story of their emergence over the last generation, using vivid examples and engaging personal stories to describe their distinctive values and lifestyles. The Cultural Creatives offers a more hopeful future and prepares us all for a transition to a new, saner, and wiser culture.
