Download or read book Marriage from the Heart written by Donald R. Downing and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2010-04 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Marriage is God's idea. He has no bad ideas. He brought Eve to Adam, married them and they lived as husband and wife for over 900 years (Genesis 2:21-25 and 5:5). By this, we can conclude that divorce was not God's idea but Satan's idea, to destroy God's ideas, plans and purpose of marriage between a man and a woman. We seek to find the right person when the greater picture is to be the right person. Man sets the time for the wedding, but God sets the time for the marriage. There is a great difference between a wedding and a marriage. Many walk down the aisle to be wedded for all the wrong reasons. Saying "I do" and placing wedding rings upon fingers does not always mean they are married within their hearts. This book reveals that a man and a woman may marry, and yet not be a true husband and wife. It stresses the importance of friendship, courtship, engagement and being married from the heart. Introducing a revolutionary approach to the covenant of marriage, this book addresses commitment, romance, love, keeping a right heart, a sound mind and a pure relationship. Dr. Donald R. Downing is a heart physician and specialist from God to the body of Christ. He has written over 12 books, and considers Marriage from the Heart to be one of his most important writings. He believes the only way to defeat the high rate of divorce and separation is to restore romance to the relationship and to be truly married from the heart. FEATURING DRS. MELVIN AND ROBIN THORNHILL Melvin and Robin Thornhill are the founders and presidents of Destiny New Image Ministries. They have a combined 50 years of experience in family and marriage counseling.

Comprised of past, present, and future templates, the scripts are conveniently presented in an easy-to-use manual-style format that facilitates a reliable, consistent procedure. Summary sheets for each protocol support quick retrieval of essential issues and components for the clinician while putting together a treatment plan for the client. These scripted protocols and completed summary sheets can be inserted right into a client’s chart for easy documentation. Scripts and summary sheets are available also in an expandable, downloadable format for easy digital access for each protocol to simplify the gathering of information and to document it in clients’ charts in a consistent format. Download or read book Morning Pages written by Kate Feiffer and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2024-05-07 with total page 323 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When her professional and family life collide, a playwright starts journaling every morning to push through her writer’s block in this laugh-out-loud and fresh take on family, friendship, and the chaos of midlife. “[A] winning adult debut…” –Publishers Weekly Elise Hellman was once heralded by audiences and critics as a “playwright to watch.” Then they forgot all about her. When a prestigious theater company unexpectedly offers her a generous commission to write a new play, she has an opportunity to turn her career around. With sixty-five days left until her deadline, Elise starts scribbling a few pages of stream-of-consciousness first thing every morning as a way to get over her writer’s block—a technique called Morning Pages, popularized in Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way. What emerges is a witty confessional in which Elise chronicles her life with her teenage stoner son and her overbearing and eccentric mother, who is losing her memory but not her profanity. She writes about her lingering feelings for her ex-husband, her best friend who is acting oddly, and the confusing encounters she has with a handsome stranger in an elevator. As she writes, the marked-up scenes from her play, Deja New, are revealed, as a story within the story. Morning Pages is about what life throws at you when you’re trying to write. It is both a humorous exploration of the creative process and a relatable coming-of-age tale for the generation sandwiched between caring for their parents and caring for their kids.

This book was released on 2008-06-16 with total page 409 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "...[This book contains] invaluable material for the child therapist with varied theoretical backgrounds to more confidently apply EMDR to children." -- Frances Klaff, for Journal of EMDR Practice and Research, Volume 3, Number 3, 2009 In this book the authors present an overview of how therapists can get started in conceptualizing psychotherapy with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) methodology through Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) theory. The focus of the book is to teach therapists to effectively use the entire EMDR protocol with young children. The first chapter provides a comprehensive overview of how to get started with EMDR after completing basic training. The book continues with chapters that detail the basic skills in using EMDR with children and then transitions to more advanced skills in using EMDR with children with specific diagnosis and presenting issues. They follow with a chapter summarizing the published evidence to date supporting the practice of EMDR with children. Data is then incorporated into a chapter summarizing their research on EMDR with young children in order to provide evidence of therapists' ability to adhere to the EMDR protocol with children, and to document their research findings about training therapists to use EMDR with children. Finally, they conclude the book with goals for the future of EMDR with children while encouraging therapists to consider conducting research in order to compel the practice of EMDR with children into the mainstream of child psychotherapy. It is a major task of the book to inspire therapists to begin thinking about conducting research and how important research is to therapists in order to validate and advance the practice of psychotherapy. In the end, the most significant goal of this book is to provide best practice for children who are in need of expert psychotherapy in order to change the trajectory of their lives. The hope is to provide guidance and support to therapists in order to launch them in their practice of EMDR. This is the art of treating children with EMDR.
