Le ferrite du nickel sous forme de monocouches a été choisi comme système modèle pour séparer les contibutions respectives de la propagation de la lumière dans la couche et de la réflexion superficielle, dans la réponse magnéto-optique. Les indices optiques et les constantes magnéto-optiques nécessaires pour les modélisations théoriques ont été déterminés à partir des mesures ellipsométriques sur un monocristal massif deferrite du nickel . Les deux contributions (de propagation et de réflexion) dans les spectres magnéto-optiques montrent la sélectivité en profondeur, de cette technique non destructive, ce qui a été vérifié aussi dans le cas des monocouches de grenat d'yttrium et d'orthoferrite de samarium. Dans le cas d'orthoferrite de samarium on a étudié l'influence conjurée de deux des paramètres de dépôt à savoir la température du substrat (Ts) et la fluence de laser : les monocouches d'orthoferrite de samarium se forment pour des températures du substrat élevées (Ts≥760°C)., mais on peur diminuer légèrement cette température critique en augmentant le fluence du laser...

More recently, new perspectives appeared at the nanoscale, with organic polariton and surface plasmon lasers. After a brief reminder to laser physics, a first chapter exposes what makes organic solid-state organic lasers specific. The laser architectures used in organic lasers are then reviewed, with a state-of-the-art review of the performances of devices with regard to output power, threshold, lifetime, beam quality etc. A survey of the recent trends in the field is given, highlighting the latest developments with a special focus on the challenges remaining for achieving direct electrical pumping of organic semiconductor lasers. A last chapter covers the applications of organic solid-state lasers.
