This book was released on 1990 with total page 472 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LES RENTREES HYPERSONIQUES, PLANANTES OU BALISTIQUES, SONT LE SIEGE DE PHENOMENES THERMODYNAMIQUES IMPORTANTS METTANT EN JEU DES ENERGIES CONSIDERABLES. IL EST NECESSAIRE D'EVALUER DES METHODES NUMERIQUES QUI PUISSENT TENIR COMPTE DES SPECIFICITES DES ECHANGES INTERNES DU GAZ EN RELAXATION CHIMIQUE DONT LES TEMPS CARACTERISTIQUES, TRES FAIBLES, SONT TRES CONTRAIGNANTS POUR LA STABILITE DES SCHEMAS ETUDIES. L'INTRODUCTION DES EFFETS DE DESEQUILIBRE CHIMIQUE DANS UN MELANGE D'ESPECES NEUTRES EST EFFECTUEE DANS LA MODELISATION DES EQUATIONS DE COUCHE LIMITE ET CELLES DE NAVIER-STOCKES PARABOLISEES. DANS UN PREMIER TEMPS, LA SIMULATION DE LA COUCHE LIMITE EST DEVELOPPEE A PARTIR DES EQUATIONS PRENANT EN COMPTE LE CARACTERE DISSOCIATIF DU MELANGE GAZEUX. UNE METHODE NUMERIQUE AUX VOLUMES FINIS IMPLICITE EST APPLIQUEE AU SYSTEME CONSERVATIF. L'EXEMPLE D'APPLICATION EST CELUI D'UNE COUCHE LIMITE A SYMETRIE AXIALE SUR LE MEDECIN INTRADOS D'UNE MAQUETTE D'HERMES94 DANS DES PROCHES CONDITIONS D'ECOULEMENT DE LA SOUFFLERIE HYPERSONIQUE F4. LE DEUXIEME NIVEAU DE MODELISATION ET D'APPROXIMATION DES EQUATIONS DE NAVIER-STOCKES EST OBTENU EN DEVELOPPANT UN SYSTEME D'EQUATIONS PNS APPLIQUE A DES ECOULEMENTS SUPERSONIQUES, TANDIS QUE LES EQUATIONS SONT MODIFIEES DANS LA ZONE SUBSONIQUE. CECI PERMET LE CALCUL DU CHAMP ENTRE LE CORPS ET LE CHOC PAR LA TECHNIQUE DE MARCHE EN ESPACE DANS LA DIRECTION DE L'ECOULEMENT. LA METHODE NUMERIQUE UTILISE UN SCHEMA AUX VOLUMES FINIS, IMPLICITE PAR LINEARISATION DES FLUX. UNE APPROCHE DE TYPE TVD EST OPEREE SUR LES FLUX DE FLUIDE PARFAIT DANS LA DIRECTION TRANSVERSALE DE L'ECOULEMENT. LES CAS ETUDIES VALIDENT LE SCHEMA NUMERIQUE AINSI QUE LES HYPOTHESES PHYSIQUES INTRODUITES: COMPARAISONS AVEC DES CALCULS NAVIER-STOKES INSTATIONNAIRES MODELISES EN DESEQUILIBRE CHIMIQUE. LA SIMULATION DU CHAMP COMPLET EN DESEQUILIBRE CHIMIQUE DANS LE PLAN DU MERIDIEN INTRADOS DE LA MAQUETT

MERLO RECORBET and published by . This book was released on 1994 with total page 264 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DANS CE TRAVAIL, ON S'INTERESSE A LA SIMULATION NUMERIQUE D'ECOULEMENTS HYPERSONIQUES. ON ETUDIE D'UNE PART DES ECOULEMENTS STATIONNAIRES EN DESEQUILIBRE THERMOCHIMIQUE AUTOUR D'OBSTACLES OU EN TUYERE DE REVOLUTION ET D'AUTRE PART L'ECOULEMENT INSTATIONNAIRE DE LA PHASE D'AMORCAGE D'UNE TUYERE. DANS UN PREMIER CHAPITRE, NOUS RAPPELONS LA MODELISATION PHYSIQUE, UTILISEE DANS CE TRAVAIL. PAR LA SUITE, CE MEMOIRE EST ARTICULE EN TROIS PARTIES. DANS UNE PREMIERE PARTIE, ON ETUDIE LES ECOULEMENTS HYPERSONIQUES NON VISQUEUX EN DESEQUILIBRE CHIMIQUE ET THERMIQUE. ON PROPOSE DEUX APPROCHES, UNE METHODE DITE DE COUPLAGE FAIBLE ET UNE METHODE DE COUPLAGE FORT. DANS LES DEUX CAS L'APPROXIMATION SPATIALE REPOSE SUR UNE FORMULATION VOLUMES FINIS ET LE SCHEMA EN TEMPS EST IMPLICITE. LA PRECISION D'ORDRE DEUX EST OBTENUE PAR UNE METHODE MUSCL. CES METHODES SONT APPLIQUEES A LA SIMULATION D'ECOULEMENTS AUTOUR DE CORPS ARRONDIS ET DE DOUBLE-ELLIPSE. ON ETUDIE L'INFLUENCE DU DESEQUILIBRE THERMIQUE SUR LA SOLUTION ET SUR LA ROBUSTESSE DU SCHEMA. LA DEUXIEME PARTIE EST CONSACREE A L'ETUDE D'ECOULEMENTS HYPERSONIQUES VISQUEUX EN DESEQUILIBRE THERMO-CHIMIQUE. APRES AVOIR RAPPELE LA MODELISATION PHYSIQUE DU PROBLEME, ON DONNE L'EXTENSION AU CAS VISQUEUX DE LA METHODE NUMERIQUE UTILISEE DANS LA PARTIE PRECEDENTE. LA DISCRETISATION SPATIALE DES FLUX DIFFUSIFS REPOSE SUR UNE FORMULATION ELEMENTS FINIS, LE SCHEMA D'INTEGRATION EN TEMPS EST IMPLICITE. AFIN D'ETUDIER L'ECOULEMENT DANS UNE TUYERE, NOUS PRESENTONS UNE FORMULATION AXISYMETRIQUE DANS LE CADRE D'ECOULEMENTS VISQUEUX. CES METHODES PERMETTENT D'OBTENIR DES RESULTATS AUTOUR DE GEOMETRIES DE TYPE DOUBLE-ELLIPSE ET DE TUYERE. DANS UNE DERNIERE PARTIE, NOUS PRESENTONS UNE ETUDE PRELIMINAIRE CONCERNANT L'AMORCAGE D'UNE TUYERE. L'ECOULEMENT INSTATIONNAIRE SE PROPAGEANT DANS LA TUYERE EST SUPPOSE A L'EQUILIBRE CHIMIQUE ET THERMIQUE. UNE ETUDE MONODIMENSIONNELLE NOUS A PERMIS D'ADAPTER UN SOLVEUR DE ROE AU CAS D'UN MELANGE D'AIR ET D'HELIUM. NOUS PRESENTONS PAR LA SUITE LES SCHEMAS ESSENTIELLEMENT NON OSCILLATOIRES (E.N.O.) UTILISES POUR LA DISCRETISATION SPATIALE. CES SCHEMAS NOUS PERMETTENT D'ATTEINDRE DES PRECISIONS D'ORDRE TROIS. LA DISCRETISATION TEMPORELLE SE FAIT A L'AIDE D'UN SCHEMA DE RUNGE KUTTA. DES RESULTATS PRELIMINAIRES D'ORDRE UN DEUX ET TROIS SONT PRESENTES, ILS SIMULENT L'AMORCAGE D'UNE TUYERE A L'AIDE D'UN TUBE A CHOC

Book excerpt: LE MEMOIRE SUIVANT S'INSCRIT DANS LE CADRE DE LA MODELISATION DE LA PHASE DE RENTREE D'UN AVION SPATIAL DANS L'ATMOSPHERE. SON OBJET EST D'ETUDIER L'ECOULEMENT D'AIR A TRES HAUTE ENTHALPIE LE LONG DU CORPS DE RENTREE. LA MODELISATION PROPOSEE PREND EN COMPTE LES EFFETS DE NON-EQUILIBRE VIBRATIONNEL ET CHIMIQUE ET PROPOSE UNE METHODE ORIGINALE DE COUPLAGE. TROIS ETUDES NUMERIQUES SONT ENSUITE PRESENTEES ET CONCERNENT: 1) LES ONDES DE CHOC DROITES MONODIMENSIONNELLES; 2) LES TUYERES BIDIMENSIONNELLES; 3) LES OBSTACLES BIDIMENSIONNELS. CES DIFFERENTES SITUATIONS METTENT EN EVIDENCE L'INFLUENCE DE LA PRISE EN COMPTE DES EFFET DE NON-EQUILIBRE SUR LES GRANDEURS MACROSCOPIQUES DE L'ECOULEMENT. LA METHODE NUMERIQUE UTILISEE POUR LES CALCULS BIDIMENSIONNELS EST DE TYPE VOLUMES-FINIS, ON UTILISE UNE DECOMPOSITION EN FLUX DE VAN-LEER. ON UTILISE UNE METHODE DE SOUS-RELAXATION POUR TRAITER LES TERMES DE PRODUCTION D'ESPECES.

Book excerpt: Genmix: A General Computer Program for Two-dimensional Parabolic Phenomena explains a computer program called GENMIX. The main intention of the program is to be used as a tool of instructions. The name of the program is a mixture of two considerations: its generality and its concern for mixing processes. The book aims to help the potential user to understand the physical and mathematical basis of the topic computer program. It is also the aim of the book to make the program applicable to practical problems. The book is arranged in such a way as to parallel a course of lectures and associated computer-workshop sessions wherein the student is allowed to do some elementary computations as soon as he has gained some knowledge of the method. The book contains the mathematical, physical, and computer-coding aspects of the program. Concepts such as the boundary layer, two-dimensional, and steady- flow are defined and discussed in depth. The text will be a useful tool for computer instructors and students.

Book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences

Download or read book Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences written by Wade H. Shafer and published by Springer. This book was released on 1976 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences was first conceived, published, and dis· seminated by the Center for Information and Numerical Data Analysis and Synthesis (CINDAS) *at Purdue University in 1957, starting its coverage of theses with the academic year 1955. Beginning with Volume 13, the printing and dissemination phases of the ac· tivity were transferred to University Microfilms/Xerox of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with the thought that such an arrangement would be more beneficial to the academic and general scientific and technical community. After five years of this joint undertaking we had concluded that it was in the interest of all concerned if the printing and distribution of the volume were handled by an international publishing house to assure improved service and broader dissemination. Hence, starting with Volume 18, Masters Theses in the Pure and Applied Sciences has been disseminated on a worldwide basis by Plenum Publishing Corporation of New York, and in the same year the coverage was broadened to include Canadian universities. All back issues can also be ordered from Plenum. We have reported in Volume 20 (thesis year 1975) a total of 10,374 theses titles from 28 Canadian and 239 United States universities. We are sure that this broader base for theses titles reported will greatly enhance the value of this important annual reference work. The organization of Volume 20 is identical to that of past years. It consists of theses titles arranged by discipline and by university within each discipline.

Book Calculations in Furnace Technology

Download or read book Calculations in Furnace Technology written by Clive Davies and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2016-05-13 with total page 287 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Calculations in Furnace Technology presents the theoretical and practical aspects of furnace technology. This book provides information pertinent to the development, application, and efficiency of furnace technology. Organized into eight chapters, this book begins with an overview of the exothermic reactions that occur when carbon, hydrogen, and sulfur are burned to release the energy available in the fuel. This text then evaluates the efficiencies to measure the quantity of fuel used, of flue gases leaving the plant, of air entering, and the heat lost to the surroundings. Other chapters consider that it is important to determine the amount of carbon discharged with the ashes, the quantity and composition of any tar produced, so that a carbon balance can be applied. The final chapter describes the various reactions within the furnace atmosphere and between charges and atmosphere. This book is a valuable resource for fuel technologists, heating and ventilating engineers, and plant operators.

Download or read book Emissions from Continuous Combustion Systems written by W. Cornelius and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-03-09 with total page 474 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume documents the proceedings of the Symposium on Emissions from Continuous Combustion Systems that was held at the General Motors Research Laboratories, Warren, Michigan on September 27 and 28, 1971. This symposium was the fifteenth in an annual series presented by the Research Laboratories. Each symposium has covered a different technical discipline. To be selected as the theme of a symposium, the subject must be timely and of vital interest to General Motors as well as to the technical community at large. For each symposium, the practice is to solicit papers at the forefront of research from recognized authorities in the technical discipline of interest. Approximately sixty scientists and engineers from academic, government and industrial circles in this country and abroad are then invited to join about an equal number of General Motors technical personnel to discuss freely the commissioned papers. The technical portion of the meeting is supplemented by social functions at which ample time is afforded for informal exchanges of ideas amongst the participants. By such a direct interaction of a small and select group of informed participants, it is hoped to extend the boundaries of research in the selected technical field.
