This book was released on 1994 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 1999 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DES TECHNIQUES DE TRAITEMENT DE SIGNAUX OBTENUS A PARTIR DE L'ANEMOMETRIE A FILS CHAUDS SONT MISES EN UVRE AFIN DE CARACTERISER LES STRUCTURES DE LA TURBULENCE PRESENTES DANS UN ECOULEMENT TURBULENT PLEINEMENT DEVELOPPE ENTRE DEUX PAROIS PARALLELES LISSES OU RUGUEUSES. DANS UN PREMIER TEMPS, L'ARSENAL CLASSIQUE UTILISANT LES METHODES CONVENTIONNELLES A ETE MIS EN UVRE (MOMENTS, ANALYSE SPECTRALE. DANS UN SECOND TEMPS, UNE APPROCHE FONDEE SUR LES METHODES CONDITIONNELLES A ETE INTRODUITE ET A PERMIS EN PARTICULIER D'EXTRAIRE LA PARTIE COHERENTE DU SIGNAL ET DE L'ANALYSER. LES INFORMATIONS PARTIELLES FOURNIES PAR CHACUNE DE CES TECHNIQUES SONT MISES EN RELATION LES UNES PAR RAPPORT AUX AUTRES POUR ABOUTIR A UNE VISION PLUS COMPLETE DES PHENOMENES ET METTENT EN EVIDENCE L'INFLUENCE DES RUGOSITES DE TYPE K SUR LES STRUCTURES DE LA TURBULENCE. DES DIFFERENCES ENTRE LES ECOULEMENTS SE DEVELOPPANT SUR PAROIS LISSES ET CEUX SE DEVELOPPANT SUR PAROIS RUGUEUSES APPARAISSENT NON SEULEMENT AU VOISINAGE DE LA PAROI MAIS AUSSI DANS LA REGION CENTRALE DE L'ECOULEMENT REMETTANT EN CAUSE L'HYPOTHESE DE SIMILITUDE DE TOWNSEND. DIFFERENTS ALGORITHMES DE DETECTION DES STRUCTURES COHERENTES (MODUL, VITA, WAG, TERA, ANALYSE DES QUADRANTS) AINSI QU'UNE NOUVELLE METHODE FONDEE SUR LA TRANSFORMEE EN ONDELETTES ONT ETE UTILISEES AFIN D'EVALUER LE TEMPS MOYEN ENTRE BURSTS QUI, ASSOCIE AUX VARIABLES, FORME UN GROUPEMENT ADIMENSIONNEL DONT LA VALEUR NE DEPEND PAS DU NOMBRE DE REYNOLDS, POUR LA GAMME DES NOMBRES CONSIDERES, AUSSI BIEN SUR PAROIS LISSES QUE SUR PAROIS RUGUEUSES. CE GROUPEMENT TRADUIT L'INTERACTION EXISTANT ENTRE LES REGIONS INTERNES ET EXTERNES DE L'ECOULEMENT. CEPENDANT, LA POSSIBILITE QUE LES GROUPEMENTS UTILISANT LES VARIABLES INTERNES NE DEPENDENT PAS DU NOMBRE DE REYNOLDS N'EST PAS A EXCLURE LORSQUE CE DERNIER EST SUFFISAMMENT ELEVE. BIEN QUE DES DIFFERENCES SUR LA NATURE ET L'INTENSITE DES BURSTS PUISSENT EXISTER ENTRE LES PAROIS LISSES ET RUGUEUSES, LES RESULTATS OBTENUS SUGGERENT QUE LE PROCESSUS DE BURSTING EST CONTROLE PAR UN MECANISME SIMILAIRE POUR LES DEUX TYPES D'ECOULEMENT.

Download or read book Lake Pavin written by Télesphore Sime-Ngando and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-10-31 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book represents the first multidisciplinary scientific work on a deep volcanic maar lake in comparison with other similar temperate lakes. The syntheses of the main characteristics of Lake Pavin are, for the first time, set in a firmer footing comparative approach, encompassing regional, national, European and international aquatic science contexts. It is a unique lake because of its permanently anoxic monimolimnion, and furthermore, because of its small surface area, its substantially low human influence, and by the fact that it does not have a river inflow. The book reflects the scientific research done on the general limnology, history, origin, volcanology and geological environment as well as on the geochemistry and biogeochemical cycles. Other chapters focus on the biology and microbial ecology whereas the sedimentology and paleolimnology are also given attention. This volume will be of special interest to researchers and advanced students, primarily in the fields of limnology, biogeochemistry, and aquatic ecology.

Download or read book Black Morocco written by Chouki El Hamel and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2014-02-27 with total page 534 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Black Morocco: A History of Slavery, Race, and Islam chronicles the experiences, identity and achievements of enslaved black people in Morocco from the sixteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century. Chouki El Hamel argues that we cannot rely solely on Islamic ideology as the key to explain social relations and particularly the history of black slavery in the Muslim world, for this viewpoint yields an inaccurate historical record of the people, institutions and social practices of slavery in Northwest Africa. El Hamel focuses on black Moroccans' collective experience beginning with their enslavement to serve as the loyal army of the Sultan Isma'il. By the time the Sultan died in 1727, they had become a political force, making and unmaking rulers well into the nineteenth century. The emphasis on the political history of the black army is augmented by a close examination of the continuity of black Moroccan identity through the musical and cultural practices of the Gnawa.

Download or read book The cole Royale Militaire written by Haroldo A. Guízar and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-08-24 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the Paris Ecole Militaire as an institution, arguing for its importance as a school that presented itself as a model for reform during a key moment in the movement towards military professionalism as well as state-run secular education. The school is distinguished for being an Enlightenment project, one of its founders publishing an article on it in the Encyclopédie in 1755. Its curriculum broke completely with the Latin pedagogy of the dominant Jesuit system, while adapting the legacy of seventeenth-century riding academies. Its status touches on the nature of absolutism, as it was conceived to glorify the Bourbon dynasty in a similar way to the girls’ school at Saint Cyr and the Invalides. It was also a dispensary of royal charity calculated to ally the nobility more closely to royal interests through military service. In the army, its proofs of nobility were the model for the much debated 1781 Ségur decree, often described as a notable cause of the French Revolution.

Download or read book Hydrodynamic Instabilities written by François Charru and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2011-06-30 with total page 411 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The instability of fluid flows is a key topic in classical fluid mechanics because it has huge repercussions for applied disciplines such as chemical engineering, hydraulics, aeronautics, and geophysics. This modern introduction is written for any student, researcher, or practitioner working in the area, for whom an understanding of hydrodynamic instabilities is essential. Based on a decade's experience of teaching postgraduate students in fluid dynamics, this book brings the subject to life by emphasizing the physical mechanisms involved. The theory of dynamical systems provides the basic structure of the exposition, together with asymptotic methods. Wherever possible, Charru discusses the phenomena in terms of characteristic scales and dimensional analysis. The book includes numerous experimental studies, with references to videos and multimedia material, as well as over 150 exercises which introduce the reader to new problems.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is my hope that this publication of a "lost" work by Galiani will interest scholars of many nations and disciplines. Few writers could make a more compelling claim upon such a cosmopolitan audience. An Italian with deep roots in his homeland, Galiani achieved celebrity in the salons of Paris. An ecclesiastic, his most notable concerns were worldly, to say the least. An erudite classicist, Galiani was passionately concerned about economics and technology. A philosophe and ostensibly something of a subversive, he was enthralled by power and he served for many years as a government agent and adviser at home and abroad. Galiani embodied many of the preoccupations and paradoxes of the Enlightenment. His torians and literary analysts devoted to the study of the lumie'res through out Europe are bound to find Galiani's work important. In recent years there has been an efflorescence of interest in the history of political economy and its relationship not only to the history of ideas but also to the history of social structure, economic development, admin istrative institutions, collective mentalities, and political mobilization. Galiani's work helps to crystalize many of these connections which scholarly specialization has tended to obscure. Galiani had a leading voice in one of the most significant debates in the eighteenth century on the implications of radical economic, social, and institutional change.
