Book The Art of War for Women

Download or read book The Art of War for Women written by Chin-Ning Chu and published by Crown Currency. This book was released on 2008-11-19 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Forget everything you think you know about strength, strategy and success. This brilliant adaptation of the ancient masterpiece The Art of War shows women how to use Sun Tzu’s philosophy to win in every aspect of life. Would you like to transform your weaknesses into strengths? Succeed at work without compromising your ethics? Integrate your style and personal philosophy into every action you take? If so, this book is for you. In The Art of War for Women, bestselling author Chin-Ning Chu brings the eternal wisdom of philosopher-general Sun Tzu to women looking to gain a better understanding of who they are--and, more importantly, who they want to be. Although Sun Tzu’s book is about the application of strategies and determining the most efficient way of gaining victory with the least amount of conflict, every one of those strategies begins with having a deep understanding of the people and the world around us. They also require us to understand ourselves--our strengths and weaknesses, our goals and fears. In other words, the aim is not to apply a series of rules coldly and dispassionately, but rather to integrate ourselves and our unique talents into the strategies we will employ. This is not a feel-good book. (But you will feel good after reading it.) It is not a motivational book. (But you will be motivated to achieve what you want, once you are done.) Ultimately, its purpose it to provide women with the strategies we all need to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of our goals and dreams. Sun Tzu’s Art of War is the most influential book on strategy ever published, selling tens of millions of copies worldwide in several editions. Written by one of today’s foremost authorities on Sun Tzu, The Art of War for Women is sure to become a classic in its own right.

This book was released on 2020-06-12 with total page 610 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Globally, women are facing social, economic, and cultural barriers impeding their autonomy and agency. Accelerated women empowerment programs often fail to attain their targets as envisaged by the policymakers due to a variety of reasons, with the most prominent being the deep-rooted cultural norms ingrained within society. In the era of globalization, empowerment of women demands new approaches and strategies that encourage the mainstreaming of gender equality as a societal norm. The Handbook of Research on New Dimensions of Gender Mainstreaming and Women Empowerment is a critical scholarly publication that examines global gender issues and new strategies for the promotion of women empowerment and gender mainstreaming in various spheres of women’s lives, including education and ICT, economic participation, health and sexuality, mental health, aging, law and judiciary, leadership, and decision making. It provides a comprehensive coverage of all major gender issues with novel ideas on gender mainstreaming being contributed by men and women authors from multidisciplinary backgrounds. Gender perspective and intersectional approach in the discourses make this handbook a unique contribution to the scholarship of social sciences and humanities. The book provides new theoretical inputs and practical directions to academicians, sociologists, social workers, psychologists, managers, lawyers, policy makers, and government officials in their efforts at gender mainstreaming. With a wide range of conceptual richness, this handbook is an excellent reference guide to students and researchers in programs pertaining to gender/women's studies, cultural studies, economics, sociology, social work, medicine, law, and management.

Book Women s Spirituality Women s Lives

Download or read book Women s Spirituality Women s Lives written by Judith Ochshorn and published by Psychology Press. This book was released on 1995 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This enlightening book examines how the feminist spirituality movement contributes to the establishment of new paradigms of mental health for women. Women's Spirituality, Women's Lives examines possible psychotherapeutic implications for women engaged in feminist spirituality and stimulates much-needed conversation between feminist therapists and feminist theologians/ritualists. Feminist spirituality is part of the current broad challenge to accepted ways of knowing and being. This book argues that as women tell their own stories, they create rituals that enable them to feel a sense of control over the future and to move toward a kind of authority, agency, and autonomy associated with mental health and psychological well-being. Women from many cultural backgrounds and religious perspectives have embraced alternative forms of spiritual expression, based on profound theoretical challenges to mainstream religious beliefs, ranging from calls for the radical reclamation and reconstruction of religious traditions to personal involvement in goddess worship and Wicca. Women's Spirituality, Women's Lives presents theoretical, conceptual, and experiential chapters that analyze the extent to which these proliferating women's groups represent the beginnings of new norms of mental health for women.Women's Spirituality, Women's Lives presents a variety of voices, including Native American, Christian, Jewish, and Wiccan. Chapters are divided into three sections--Laying the Groundwork, Theoretical Challenges, and Living It Out--and explore a diverse array of topics such as: the "shouting" church and Black women's mental health a traditionalist Native American challenge to New Age cooptation a feminist group and Jewish women's self-identity lesbian altar-making and mental health feminist Wicca in the U.S. and Germany the martial arts and women's mental health the use of feminist rituals in therapy and as therapyFeminist therapists and theologians, as well as other individuals interested in feminist spirituality or alternative spirituality, will find this book a fascinating exploration of the various aspects of the spirituality of women. Women's Spirituality, Women's Lives is also an excellent reader to expand the thinking of students in classes in women's studies and religious studies.

The Heavenly Father wants women to experience a full restoration in who He created them to be - in the home, society, and ministry! He wants them to know their valued identity and be empowered by His love. The Empowered Woman reveals how God carefully wove beautiful elements of His likeness into both male and female. Both share common traits of leadership as fiery ones, yet each has individual qualities as God's image as described in these pages. The Hebrew language of Genesis reveals the woman's intimate design for community and connection, as communicators, face-to-face counterparts with men, as visionary leaders with intuition, and even as a warrior bride for divine purpose, and more! Learn how the Fall renamed and redefined a woman's identity and how it has played out in life, relationships, and cultures, but how Jesus, the Last Adam, restores her to full authentic design! These 212 pages will delight your heart as you realize the truth, freedom and purpose that women are called to experience in Christ as empowered daughters of God for such a time as this!

Book excerpt: It's Time for a Revolution In the Garden, woman was taken out of man to stand by his side and co-reign with him. But Satan's schemes have robbed women of their rightful identity, disempowering and defacing them. The world aches for God's original partnership to be brought into balance once more--and it can be. Join Kris Vallotton for an extraordinary journey of eye-opening insight, including • God's true plan and purpose for women • Jesus' radical teachings and care for women • men's important role in restoring women • the true meaning of difficult Bible passages about women • examples of women in leadership as God intended God fashioned women to reign alongside men. Jesus set women free to be beautiful and powerful. It's time for us, as daughters and sons of the King, to rule together in glory again. Will you join the revolution? "We have failed to realize that Jesus founded the women's liberation movement more than two thousand years ago. Isn't it high time His Church led the revolution?"--Kris Vallotton "Off the charts. Worthy to be read and studied by all. You won't be able to put it down."--Patricia King, founder, XP Ministries "Read, weigh and embrace the spirit, truth and heartbeat of this book. This biblical approach rightly addresses unright arguments of strained interpretations. Such balance and beauty make sense and offer wisdom. I say, 'Amen!'"--Pastor Jack Hayford, chancellor, The King's University, Dallas/Los Angeles "This profound work is a must-read for men and women alike; it has the potential to instill courage in the hearts of men and give women permission to dream again."--Bill Johnson, senior leader, Bethel Church, Redding, California; author, The Essential Guide to Healing and When Heaven Invades Earth "Finally, a biblical perspective that encourages women to remain themselves and still take their God-given places of leadership."--Stacey Campbell, author, Praying the Bible; co-founding pastor, New Life Church, Kelowna, British Columbia "This compelling work will elevate your awareness, challenge some presuppositions and invite you to grow in the grace of the Lord Jesus."--Dr. Mark J. Chironna, Church On The Living Edge, Mark Chironna Ministries, Orlando, Florida "This must-read will empower you to regain your identity that Satan stole and live the life God created you to live."--Cynthia Brazelton, pastor, Victory Christian Ministries International "I deeply enjoyed diving into the Bible with Kris as my guide to find out what God really says about men and women. It has enhanced my understanding of who I am as a woman and inspires me to instill that in the young women around me. This book is about truth and therefore would be great written by anyone. However, I realized that the fact that it was written by a man, and it is a man calling me into my divine design, brought a deeper level of healing than I'd anticipated and sent me on a journey digging deeper into God's heart. I recommend it for all!" --Revival Magazine "Fashioned to Reign considers the everlasting deception Christians face regarding women's role and purpose: a deception fostered by evil and which is not of God's plan. The disempowerment of women was the devil's idea - and God's true plan for women is very different. Woman was, in fact, designed to stand by man's side and reign with him, not under him - and Fashioned to Reign covers God's ultimate intention for women. Packed with scripture and information throughout, Fashioned to Reign is a powerful analysis perfect for any Christian collection." --Midwest Book Review

Download or read book Inspired to Greatness written by Tracy Uloma Cooper and published by Chiron Publications. This book was released on 2016-12-06 with total page 138 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is it possible for a woman to be empowered and be happy? Inspired to Greatness: A Feminine Approach to Healing the World explores the question from a research perspective, utilizing the method of narrative analysis to examine women’s one-on-one interviews. What makes this book special is the focus on the narrative voice of the women participants, which differentiates it from previous explorations and research. Our participants are among those Western women who are a part of the vanguards who infiltrated the male dominated workforce and advanced toward significant professional empowerment. The findings suggest that a fear-based survival mode is keeping women, who outwardly seem empowered, from an inner feeling of empowerment and thus from happiness. The participants spoke of being called to greater fulfillment in their lives and recognized that conscious active responsibility would be necessary to satisfy those needs, though in many cases it remained unclear whether they would decide to act upon the realization or not. It is of great importance that we pay attention to such women’s interpretation of their experiences. Society needs to attend to the findings we will explore within this book. These results are critical to psychological health and reflect deeply on how to help women find the courage to move forward. Because a healthy society relies on women rising, owning their experience, balancing their priorities, and having access to steps for health, it is clear that women’s emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual health would be improved through access to specific programs that will promote unconditional love, integration, and conscious awareness designed to access the individual’s inner sage and as yet unrealized potentialities. Tracy Cooper is a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, specializing in integrative therapy and personal empowerment. At the University of California, Berkeley she was a psychotherapist within the Psychological Services department. Presently, she is a psychotherapist offering comprehensive care to patients with chronic medical conditions and serious mental illness. As a community activist, she is involved with several nonprofit organizations. She is the founder of The Uloma Foundation, she serves as a board member for Arts for All, and manages a mental health program at Interfaith Community Services. Tracy Cooper is an academic and literary author. She contributed to the book What Women Want: A Book for Men and she is the author of the children’s book series Sophie Starchild.
