Book excerpt: Handbook on Electric Vehicles Manufacturing (E- Car, Electric Bicycle, E- Scooter, E-Motorcycle, Electric Rickshaw, E- Bus, Electric Truck with Assembly Process, Machinery Equipments & Layout) An electric vehicle (EV) is one that is powered by an electric motor rather than an internal-combustion engine that burns a mixture of gasoline and gases to generate power. As a result, such a vehicle is being considered as a potential replacement for current-generation automobiles in order to solve issues such as:- a) Growing Pollution b) Global Warming, c) Natural Resource Depletion, and so on. Despite the fact that the concept of electric vehicles has been around for a long time, it has garnered a lot of attention in the last decade as a result of the rising carbon footprint and other environmental implications of gasoline-powered vehicles. The global electric vehicle market is expected to increase at a CAGR of 21.7 percent. Increased government investments in the development of electric vehicle charging stations and hydrogen fuelling stations, as well as buyer incentives, will provide chances for OEMs to increase their revenue stream and regional footprint. The EV market in Asia Pacific is expected to develop steadily due to increasing demand for low-cost, low-emission vehicles, whereas the market in North America and Europe is expected to rise quickly due to government initiatives and the growing high-performance passenger vehicle segment. India's flagship plan for boosting electric mobility is FAME, or Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid and) Electric Vehicles FAME Scheme has been authorized by the government, with 86 percent of overall budgetary support has been set aside for the Demand Incentive, which aims to increase demand for EVs throughout the country. This phase will support e-buses, e-3 wheelers, e-4 wheeler passenger cars and e-2 wheelers in order to build demand. The book covers a wide range of information related to the manufacture of electric vehicles. It includes E- Car, Electric Bicycle, E- Scooter, E-Motorcycle, Electric Rickshaw, E- Bus, Electric Truck with Assembly Process, contact information for machinery suppliers, Directory Section & Factory Layout. A detailed guide on the manufacturing and entrepreneurship of electric vehicles. This book serves as a one-stop shop for everything you need to know about the Electric Vehicle Manufacturing industry, which is rife with opportunities for startups, manufacturers, merchants, and entrepreneurs. This is the only book on the production of commercial electric vehicles. It's a veritable feast of how-to information, from concept through equipment acquisition.

This book was released on 2015-12-31 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bringing together a large set of data and building on two years of consultations in Vietnam with Government counterparts, research organizations, state-owned enterprises, private sector and Vietnam international development partners, the report formulates two scenarios to explore and analyze Vietnam's options up to the year 2030: a business as usual and a low carbon development scenario. Based on a thorough data modeling effort for the key carbon emitting sectors of Vietnam, the report also provides some policy guidance for the Government’s consideration. This report is also unique as it brings together and presents data on multiple sectors of Vietnam's economy, making this information available for future reference. This effort is the result of two years of collaboration with the Government of Vietnam as part of the Vietnam Low Carbon Options Assessment technical assistance. By highlighting several economic opportunities and clarifying the issues at hand, this work is a milestone in this complex debate and I believe will help all stakeholders willing to consider and responsible to design the policies and measures to address those challenges.

Book The Economics of Electric Vehicles for Passenger Transportation

Download or read book The Economics of Electric Vehicles for Passenger Transportation written by Cecilia Briceno-Garmendia and published by World Bank Publications. This book was released on 2023-06-06 with total page 328 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Economics of Electric Vehicles for Passenger Transportation provides answers to three critical questions: Why should developing countries pursue e-mobility? When does an accelerated transition to electric vehicles (EVs) make sense for developing countries? How can governments make this transition happen? A key finding from the research is that there is a strong economic case for EVs in many developing countries. This is news because, despite growing momentum and interest in the sector, 90 percent of EV sales are still concentrated in major markets such as China, Europe, and the United States. According to original models developed by the report’s authors, developing countries can look to electric buses as well as to two- and three-wheeled vehicles as entry points to this critical transition. Readers will find many examples of countries already benefiting from e-mobility solutions. For example, Brazil, Chile, and India are leaders in electric bus fleets. Their progress, made possible by innovative financing and procurement practices,is improving mobility in cities, reducing local air pollution, and reducing congestion in fast-growing downtowns. Readers will also see examples from Asian and East African countries, which are embarking on battery-swapping schemes to lower upfront costs of ownership for two- and three-wheeled vehicles. Based on the unique modeling, analysis, and benchmarking of results across 20 developing countries—complemented by a compilation of actual organic and diverse experiences of developing countries with electric mobility adoption—this report provides policy guidance on how governments can accelerate EV adoption, and when and where it makes economic sense to adopt electric mobility more quickly. This report is a critical read for anyone interested in the future of transport and its links with development progress.
