Download or read book El retorno de la econom a de la depresi n written by Paul Krugman and published by Grupo Planeta Spain. This book was released on 2010-07-12 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book El retorno de la econom a de la depresi n written by Paul R. Krugman and published by Critica. This book was released on 2000 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book From free trade to globalization uncovering the mist of 21st century

Download or read book From free trade to globalization uncovering the mist of 21st century written by José Alberto, Pérez Toro and published by Editorial Tadeo Lozano. This book was released on 2016-03-14 with total page 584 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Much has been written about globalization as an economic and political concept. The academic debate looks forward for explanations about the historical roots and development of this emerging phenomenon where the Nation-State’s evolved into a system where nations are ruled by the dynamics of global interdependence. Globalization in the new era is characterized as a process where geographical, political and cultural borders tend to dissolve. The Westphalia notion of sovereignty capitulates against the principle of political subordination as integration of local power ensuring national legitimacy.

Book The First Export Era Revisited

Download or read book The First Export Era Revisited written by Sandra Kuntz-Ficker and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-10-19 with total page 363 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book challenges the wide-ranging generalizations that dominate the literature on the impact of export-led growth upon Latin America during the first export era. The contributors to this volume contest conventional approaches, stemming from structuralism and dependency theory, which portray a rather negative view of the impact of nineteenth-century globalization upon Latin America. It has been considered that, as a result of the role of Latin American countries as providers of raw materials produced in enclaves dominated by foreign capital, their participation in the world economy has had adverse consequences for their long-term development. This volume addresses a representative sample of countries with varied initial conditions and resource endowments, a diverse productive specialization, as well as different degrees of integration to the world economy. This allows a direct comparison among the different experiences within the region, which in turn enables a more nuanced understanding of the contribution of exports to economic growth and economic modernization. Seven national case studies are presented – Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Mexico and Bolivia – which offer an insight into the successes of a region traditionally viewed as disadvantaged by globalization and export-led growth. Winner of the Vicens Vives prize for the best economic history book granted by the Spanish Economic History Association.

Book The Political Economy of Argentina in the Twentieth Century

Download or read book The Political Economy of Argentina in the Twentieth Century written by Roberto Cortés Conde and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2013-08-22 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this work, Roberto Cortés Conde describes and explains the decline of the Argentine economy in the 20th century, its evolution, and its consequences. At the beginning of the century, the economy grew at a sustained rate, a modern transport system united the country, a massive influx of immigrants populated the land and education expanded, leading to a dramatic fall in illiteracy. However, by the second half of the century, growth not only stalled, but a dramatic reversal occurred, and the perspectives in the median and long term turned negative, and growth eventually collapsed. This work of historical analysis defines the most important problems faced by the Argentine economy. Some of these problems were fundamental, while others occurred without being properly considered, but in their entirety, Cortés Conde demonstrates how they had a deleterious effect on the country.

Download or read book Sacroeconom a written by Charles Eisenstein and published by North Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2015-04-14 with total page 577 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
