Se estudia su plasmación en las Instituciones del derecho medieval y su influencia en la evolución del Derecho Privado, el Derecho Procesal, el Derecho Internacional, el Derecho Penal y el Derecho Público. Todo ello con especial referencia al estudio de la recepción del Derecho Común en España. A compilation of various studies on the ius commune (Common Law), that is to say, European Common Law, integrated by the Roman Law, the Canon Law, and the Feudal Law, and its decisive influence on Spanish Scholastic, Humanism, Jusnaturalism, and the Age of Enlightement. The ius commune (Common Law), is analyzed as a written Law, basically produced and cultivated in the Universities, and applicable throughout Europe, its configuration as a complete legal system, its universal vocation, which is opposed to the iura propia (Particular rights ), and it is written in a common language, Latin. Its expression in the Institutions of medieval law, and its influence on the evolution of Private Law, Procedural Law, International Law, Criminal Law and Public Law forms part of this study. All of the above with a special reference to the study of the reception of Common Law in Spain.
