Conceptos generales como verdad, belleza y justicia existen, por ende, a través de nuestro mundo, aunque éste ni perfecto, ni bello, y mucho menos justo sea. Estos conceptos existen, en realidad, sólo como realización de las ideas designadas bajo tales concepciones, de ahí que posean en sí mismas únicamente un a existencia ideal. El hecho de que el ser humano no pueda vivir si n estos ideales, no es un argumento comprobable ni refutable, sin embargo, evidente. Ello nos obliga a aspirar, en la medida de lo posible, a una realización extensa y trascendente de dichos ideales en el mundo, para así tornarlos más humanos. De esta manera entiendo los esfuerzos explicativos acerca del Derecho Penal en la compila que yace ante sus ojos. Hacer realidad los esfuerzos hacia una justicia material implica, para mí, desarrollarlos a la luz del Estado de Derecho". Karl Heinz Gössel.
