Diese zentrale geographische Lage im Herzen Europas, zusammen mit der erfolgreichen Entwicklung der deutschen Wirtschaft und der deutschen Demokratie, nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, hat die Bundesrepublik zu einem klassischen Einwanderungsland werden lassen. Mit dem Ende des Ost- West Konfliktes und der deutschen Wiedervereinigung sieht sich die Bundesrepublik mit steigenden Einwanderungszahlen konfrontiert. Warum aber braucht die Bundesrepublik diese stetige Zuwanderung? Die deutsche Bevölkerung wird zunehmend älter und die durchschnittliche Kinderzahl pro Familie nimmt zunehmend ab. Dies führt zu der Problematik, dass die demographische Entwicklung sich zu Ungunsten der jüngeren Generationen verschlechtert. Der Generationenvertrag und dadurch die Sicherung des Lebensstandarts der Bevölkerungsteile im Rentenalter gerät immer mehr ins wanken. Die deutsche Bevölkerung wird sich in den nächsten Jahren zu einer überalterten Gesellschaft entwickeln, welche zunehmend ins Ungleichgewicht gerät. Nach Schätzungen der 9. koordinierten Bevölkerungsvorausberechnung des Bundes und der Länder, wird die bundesdeutsche Bevölkerung im Jahr 2050, um ein Viertel, auf 59 Millionen schrumpfen und zunehmend überaltern. Dies hätte gravierende Auswirkungen auf die technologische, wirtschaftliche und soziale Entwicklung der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Thema dieser Arbeit ist es die möglichen Perspektiven und die be- und entstehenden Probleme, die sich, durch Migration und Einwanderung, für die deutsche Gesellschaft ergeben, aufzuzeigen. Beginnend mit den Typen von Wanderungen nach Deutsch-land, Flucht und Migration und deren Ursachen, welche kurz erklärt und beleuchtet werden, wird versucht die bestehenden Probleme und Perspektiven, die sich für die deutsche Gesellschaft durch Einwanderung ergeben, zu beleuchten. Begriffe wie illegale Einwanderung, Asylproblematik, Arbeitsmarktproblematik, Integration und Fremdenfeindlichkeit, demographische Krise der Gesellschaft werden in diesen Abschnitten eine zentrale Rolle spielen müssen. Book excerpt: Syrian refugees who gained asylum in Germany following the so-called refugee crisis in 2015 quickly entered into an 'integration regime' which produced a binary notion of 'well integrated' migrants versus refugees falling short of the narrow social and political definitions of a 'good' refugee. Etzel's rich ethnographic study shows how refugees navigated this conditional inclusion. While some asylum seekers gained international protection, others were left with limited agency to demand government accountability for the ever-moving target of integration. Putting a spotlight on the inconsistencies and failings of a universal approach to integration, this is an important contribution to the wider field of migration and anthropology of the state.
