This book was released on 2013-08-05 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In these eighty-one years I have lived here on earth and the fi fty two years I have been blessed to preach the gospel from coast to coast preaching here and there, from east to west from north to south, traveling by auto and airplane and I ask myself after all these years how did I make it and every time it come back to me "By the Grace of God", I have never considered myself as one that is smart and the Lord have allowed me to write this my second book and get them published, produce two sermons on DVD and record a CD's with fourteen songs on it after passing out earlier that same day while preaching a sermon so I think this is a great accomplishment for a common everyday preacher from Selma AL. with a little education. God have been mighty good to me, my family and the people I have preached to over the years. All of my family of six is dead but my sister and myself and she is eighty years old herself and lives alone. It seem that the people of today don't know that God exist and controls everything and that we are on a death wish and a hell scrap, the Devil is on a least trying to take over the world and the church, all he have to do is get us to shut our mouths and it's a done deal. So brother preacher" it's time", time for us to wake up, time to get up, time to speak up, time to stand up and start talking and living for Jesus. This has been my calling and I hope it is yours whether you are in a preaching ministry or not, now is the time for all of God's people to tell the story of his suffering under Pilate and on the cross, his death, his resurrection, his ascension to the Father in Heaven, and his coming again for those who love him.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First Course in Algebra and Number Theory presents the basic concepts, tools, and techniques of modern algebra and number theory. It is designed for a full year course at the freshman or sophomore college level. The text is organized into four chapters. The first chapter is concerned with the set of all integers - positive, negative, and zero. It investigates properties of Z such as division algorithm, Euclidean algorithm, unique factorization, greatest common divisor, least common multiple, congruence, and radix representation. In chapter 2, additional axioms about Z were introduced and some of their consequences are discussed. The third chapter sets up terminologies about polynomials, solutions or roots of polynomial equations, and factorization of polynomials. Finally, chapter 4 studies logically simpler algebraic systems, known as "groups", algebraic objects with a single operation. The book is intended for students in the freshman and sophomore levels in college.

Download or read book Gender and Social Security Reform written by Neil Gilbert and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aging populations are creating tremendous pressures on social security systems throughout the world, lifting the need for reform to the top of policy agendas. Proposed reforms often have different implications for men and women. At the same time, traditional family and gender roles are changing with the decline in fertility rates and the rapid rise in women's participation in the paid labor force. While trying to adapt social security systems to the fiscal demands of aging societies, policymakers face the compelling challenge of how to design pension reforms that achieve fair outcomes for women. Gender and Social Security Reform examines how different countries are attempting to meet this challenge. Drawing on comparative studies of European and Latin American countries along with a series of case studies of individual countries, the book provides insights into the gender dimensions of alternative designs for reform. All of the countries studied have recently reformed or are about to reform their pension systems, with a clear trend towards tightening the link between contributions and benefits in order to secure the long-term sustainability of pensions. The book also alerts policymakers to other issues: Should pension systems be gender-neutral or compensate for inequalities in paid and unpaid labor? Does compensation preserve gender discrimination? Are unisex life tables a reliable or fair redistributive tool for women? Or should annuities be linked directly to life expectancy, differentiated by sex and potentially other factors? Does a minimum pension guarantee risk compromising the principle of individual responsibility and work? How can recognition for caring work be balanced with work incentives? What can be done to help social security systems preserve freedom of choice in terms of work-family balance for women, men or the modem family unit as a whole? In analyzing the gender implications of recent social security policies and practices
