Book Spanish through Foreign Curricula The Indian Experience

Download or read book Spanish through Foreign Curricula The Indian Experience written by DHIRAJ K RAI and published by Book Rivers. This book was released on 2021-10-12 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The history of Foreign Language Teaching in India arrived at a point of transformation with the liberalization of Indian politics and economics since 1991. Although the Indians had experienced the learning of English as a foreign language due to their colonial past, the need to learn other European/Romance/Germanic languages has intensified with the growing linkage of India with the developed and developing countries in the post-Cold War era. In response to this intensified need for learning foreign languages, many new foreign programs of study/curricula have been introduced in Indian schools (especially those with international curriculum). The central objective of this book is to shed light on the specific challenges of teaching Spanish language through foreign curricula in India. The book performs a qualitative study not only to investigate the problems of teaching Spanish language but also to design suggestive measures to resolve these pedagogical problems."

Book The International Handbook of Educational Research in the Asia Pacific Region

Download or read book The International Handbook of Educational Research in the Asia Pacific Region written by J.P. Keeves and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-11-11 with total page 1405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim of the Handbook is to present readily accessible, but scholarly sources of information about educational research in the Asia-Pacific region. The scale and scope of the Handbook is such that the articles included in it provide substantive contributions to knowledge and understanding of education in the Asia region. In so doing, the articles present the problems and issues facing education in the region and the findings of research conducted within the region that contribute to the resolution of these problems and issues. Moreover, since new problems and issues are constantly arising, the articles in the Handbook also indicate the likely directions of future developments. The different articles within the Handbook seek to conceptualize the problems in each specific content area under review, provide an integration of the research conducted within that area, the theoretical basis of the research the practical implications of the research and the contribution of the research towards the resolution of the problems identified. Thus, the articles do not involve the reporting of newly conducted research, but rather require a synthesis of the research undertaken in a particular area, with reference to the research methods employed and the theoretical frameworks on which the research is based. In general, the articles do not advocate a single point of view, but rather, present alternative points of view and comment on the debate and disagreements associated with the conduct and findings of the research. Furthermore, it should be noted, that the Handbook is not concerned with research methodology, and only considers the methods employed in inquiry in so far as the particular methods of research contribute to the effective investigation of problems and issues that have arisen in the conduct and provision of education at different levels within the region.

Download or read book Development Outlook of Education and Migration written by Basant Potnuru and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-12-23 with total page 215 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book describes the movement of un-skilled and skilled workers both within and from India and its fallout on education and development. It furthers the evidence on the contribution of education and international migration in development with specific reference to India as a major source country of migrant population. The book also distinguishes the underlying linkages and distinction between international and internal migration on the one hand and the education and development experience on the other. It brings forth the causes and development experiences of both migrations to a common platform to gauge on their similarities and differences in the lens of education and development. As such, this book contributes to the scant literature on Indian experience of internal and international migration and sheds light on future migration policy and course correction necessary for places and countries of migrant origin.
