Book Il management ambientale

Download or read book Il management ambientale written by Marcelo Enrique Conti and published by Edizioni Nuova Cultura. This book was released on 2018-09-28 with total page 482 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Stiamo passando dal «green washing» all’«awareness washing»? Sviluppo sostenibile o sottosviluppo sostenibile?

Book Evaluation in Planning

Download or read book Evaluation in Planning written by E.R. Alexander and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-22 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Evaluation is a critical stage in urban and regional planning and development, with the consideration of alternative proposals essential for informed debate and decision. Evaluation in planning has become even more important with the new paradigm attempting to integrate economic efficiency with equity, sustainability and social responsibility. The craft of pre-development evaluation has long been influenced by Nathaniel Lichfield, and in his honour, this book brings together prominent researchers and practitioners to discuss evaluation in planning: its conceptual foundations and subsequent development, its strengths and persisting dilemmas, and its best practices and their potential for improving future planning and development. The chapters trace evaluation in planning from its historical origin to current applications. Part one reviews the evolution of evaluation theory and practice, and part two contains a selection of best-practice application. The final integrating chapter notes key problems, and offers directions for future development in evaluation research and practice.

Book Trade Innovation Environment

Download or read book Trade Innovation Environment written by Carlo Carraro and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1994-08-31 with total page 424 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The research projects at Fondazione Mattei have for some time now been dealing with the international dimension of environmental policy. Indeed, most environ mental phenomena have international implications, which stem from a number of factors: physical ones, such as the transnational or global consequences of pollution and resource conservation; technological factors, such as technological cooperation and diffusion; and economic factors, such as trad~, plant localiza tion and migrations. Even in the absence of transnational pollution, therefore, the environmental issues involve substantial interdependence among countries. This volume, edited by Carlo Carraro, presents some of the research which we carried out in international environmental policy, focusing on the relationship between trade, innovation and the environment. The papers in part one discuss the impact of international trade and institu tions on environmental resources. Those in part two deal with the importance of innovation when attempting to solve the major environmental problems. The papers in part three, finally, focus on specific policy issues stressing the impor tance of institutions and property rights. The whole set of contributions can be seen as progress in environmental economics. The different chapters highlight the close relationship between envi ronmental issues and economic development and they merge the literature on the environment with the literature on innovation, economic growth, trade, plant localization, institutions, etc.
