Book Extraterrestrial Communication Code

Download or read book Extraterrestrial Communication Code written by Stephen Silva and published by . This book was released on 2021-02-19 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the about the extraordinary and actual discovery of what could be an Extraterrestrial (ET) deposited code and how its solution leads to a response to its message. It correlates very interesting factual information from science, history, mathematics, geography, and logic. It also has just the right amount of deductive reasoning sprinkled into the mix. It all flows together and leads to an amazing conclusion. It does not just end with the conclusion. It ends by designing and proposing an experiment to put the conclusion to the test. It leaves the reader entertained, educated, and satisfied but wanting more. The process and results presented in this book have never before been conceived, published, or put to the test. It is an original scientific concept that lives somewhere between science fact and science fiction depending on one's point of view.Author Stephen J. Silva is an engineer with over 25 years of practical engineering experience. His formal education includes an Associate of Science degree from the Florida Institute of Technology in Offshore Marine Technology and a Civil / Environmental Engineering degree from the University of Vermont.Message from the Author:It is my hope that this book and my website (etcommgroup.com) will encourage real discussion on the subject of extraterrestrial communication and related topics. Everything related to the topic is open for discussion. Alien existence, UFOs, alien abductions, creation of the universe, "Ancient Astronaut Theory", God and religious implications - it's all on the table at etcommgroup.com.For the record, I had my first and only UFO experience on November 8, 2020 at age 59 and immediately I wrote a blog on my website about it so go check it out - it will blow your mind.Let it be known that I am a proud and faithful Christian that believes in God. That can be a volatile position for some people when the subject of the creation of humans, extraterrestrials and of the universe is on the table.I encourage and welcome all opinions, theories, positions, and points of view with an open mind.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For a long time I have been giving scientific lectures in different countries and on diverse topics, generally related to astronomy and to my work at the Arecibo Observatory. No matter which parti- lar topic I am talking about, the same question always comes up: Have we had any contact at Arecibo with “them”? My negative answer does not satisfy anyone. In fact, the answer either confirms their suspicions that there is a conspiracy afoot by higher autho- ties not to release information or their intentions to deceive the general public. The reasons for the deception have to do with the idea that, as in the movie Contact, the received messages contain important and useful information that will bring great advantage to whoever gets it. Many of us want to believe that extraterrestrial creatures can talk to us, that perhaps they are even living among us, as UFO fans believe. It would be fascinating if it were true, a more than extra- dinary discovery, the answer to an eternal question. There is p- sibly a deep psychological motive in this desire to know if we are alone in this huge universe, and the need to believe in something beyond our limited world, in space and time. There is no doubt, then, that this topic brings with it many scientific and philosophical discussions, as well as speculations that, on many occasions, fall into pure pseudoscience because of the lack of a reference framework.

Book The Alien Communication Handbook

Download or read book The Alien Communication Handbook written by Brian S. McConnell and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-10-18 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Scientists have been searching for signals from extraterrestrial civilizations since Frank Drake’s first radio survey in 1960. But what would actually happen if SETI’s search succeeds? Is there any way we could even make sense of the signal we receive? Written by an expert in communication systems and translation technology, this book explores the science of interstellar communication. It explains how this process may unfold, how an ET communication link would work, the types of information it could convey and how professionals, amateurs and ordinary people like you would participate in the effort to understand what another civilization has to say. Along the way, the book introduces readers to many aspects of modern-day communication systems and computing. Featured as well are dozens of illustrations, photos and real-world examples, rounding out this compelling foray into the mechanics of interstellar communication. “Scientists, policy makers, and all interested in the likely future discovery of alien life will want to read this book.” - Steven J. Book Communication with Extraterrestrial Intelligence CETI

Download or read book Communication with Extraterrestrial Intelligence CETI written by Douglas A. Vakoch and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 2011-04-01 with total page 523 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In April 2010, fifty years to the month after the first experiment in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI), scholars from a range of disciplines—including astronomy, mathematics, anthropology, history, and cognitive science—gathered at NASA's biennial Astrobiology Science Conference (AbSciCon) for a series of sessions on the search for intelligent life. This book highlights the most recent developments in SETI discussed at that conference, emphasizing the ways that SETI has grown since its inception. The volume covers three broad themes: First, leading researchers examine the latest developments in observational SETI programs, as well as innovative proposals for new search strategies and novel approaches to signal processing. Second, both proponents and opponents of "Active SETI" debate whether humankind should be transmitting intentional signals to other possible civilizations, rather than only listening. Third, constructive proposals for interstellar messages are juxtaposed with critiques that ask whether any meaningful exchange is possible with an independently evolved civilization, given the constraints of contact at interstellar distances, where a round-trip exchange could take centuries or millennia. As we reflect on a half-century of SETI research, we are reminded of the expansion of search programs made possible by technological and conceptual advances. In this spirit of ongoing exploration, the contributors to this book advocate a diverse range of approaches to make SETI increasingly more powerful and effective, as we embark on the next half-century of searching for intelligence beyond Earth.

Book Communication with Extraterrestrial Intelligence

Download or read book Communication with Extraterrestrial Intelligence written by John Billingham and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Communication with Extraterrestrial Intelligence is devoted to the concepts and studies related to the science, technology, and observational techniques of communication with extraterrestrial intelligence (CETI). Topics covered range from the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) to the theory of interstellar communication; the problem of the origin of life; radio signals from extraterrestrial civilizations; and interstellar communication by neutrino beams. An infinitely expandable space radiotelescope is also described. This book is comprised of 21 chapters and opens with a discussion on the CETI activities of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) from 1965 to 1976 and describes the outlook for the IAA CETI Standing Committee. The following chapters sketch the background and rationale for a SETI program; the significance of the detection of signals and of information that may be contained in signals from extraterrestrial civilizations; an extended Drake's equation, the longevity-separation relation, equilibrium, inhomogeneities, and chain formation; and the physical and psychological basis for the belief that a band of frequencies called the water hole is a prime band for SETI. This monograph will appeal to practitioners in the fields of astrophysics, astronomy, planetary formation, exobiology, and biological evolution.
