But things take a disastrous turn when he drinks an evil brew at a pub in Dublin Town. He gets drunk and passes out in a travel trunk of a man sailing to America in search of a new beginning, and he becomes a stowaway. His tomfoolery aboard the ship, however, almost costs him and others their lives, but he remains determined to find his missing parents. When he finds out theyre being held prisoner by an evil man running a traveling medicine show, he must find a way to free them. Book Wartime Memoirs of Drunken Debauchery

Download or read book Wartime Memoirs of Drunken Debauchery written by Doctor Brdman and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2017-10-12 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The online literary magazine www.brdman.com presents Wartime Memoirs of Drunken Debauchery, Dr. Brdman's first collection of memoirs. Brdman's raw confessional writing style, loaded with sarcasm and wit, fluctuates between poetic verse and narrative prose, while alternating tone and form in order to promulgate his constant state of cognitive dissidence. Unapologetically, Matthew Joseph pontificates his lifelong struggles with faith, love, sexual promiscuity, childhood abandonment, gynecomastia, death, and perpetual alcohol abuse, which hindered his development as a leader of Marines and as a man. Developing severe hypogonadism and losing the ability to produce testosterone and sperm coerced Matthew Joseph to reevaluate his life of mass destruction. Not every chapter will make you laugh; not every chapter will make you cry. In the end, Wartime Memoirs of Drunken Debauchery (WMDs) leaves readers in shock and awe.

Book The Truth About Leprechauns

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the origins of this hero of Irish lore to his habits, occupations and characteristics. This book offers enlightenment on little-known aspects of the wider fairy world, as well as turning the spotlight on the real leprechaun. Every country has its own myths about fairies and 'wee folk', but the Irish leprechaun is the undisputed king. To some, he is an impish figure full of harmless mischief, forever guarding his elusive crock of gold. To others, he is an evil gnome bent on disrupting the lives of mortals with his black magic and malevolent acts. Historian and folklorist Bob Curran looks at the origins of this hero of Irish lore – fallen angel, diminished god or son of fairies – and at his habits, occupations and characteristics. He explores the superstitions surrounding the leprechaun and his enduring place in popular culture, and turns the spotlight on the 'real' leprechaun – mysterious, complex and contradictory.

Book The Bogus Buzz

Download or read book The Bogus Buzz written by Glen Keough and published by Abbott Press. This book was released on 2014-01-22 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Flashback to the 1960's and 1970's and faster than you can say "'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, '" accompany Glen Keough as he is drilled by Dominican nuns, enlightened by a hippie father and loved by a grandmother who easily forgave his sins. In this coming of age memoir, Keough reminisces on a youth spent in Southern California with a band of boys who when freed from the constraints of Catholicism, partook in the forbidden fruits of the era. A time to trade marbles for marijuana and Johnny Western for Led Zeppelin. Such transactions come with a price as his best friend went on an acid trip he never returned from mentally. The author broods on a lost of innocence and how a gracious God could take away a sister so young with cancer. "The Bogus Buzz" shares a sensitive maturation process similar to the 1986 movie "Stand By Me." It reflects on the coping mechanisms constructed to weather divorce, insecurity and the come hither look of the fish netted blonde two desks down.
