Book Dreams of Long Ago and Memories So True

Download or read book Dreams of Long Ago and Memories So True written by Rose Della Trujillo and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2010-10 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DREAMS OF LONG AGO AND MEMORIES SO TRUE is a consolidation of my mother's poems, songs, and short stories. I have attempted to introduce each by writing about the circumstances surrounding it and how each came into existence, and by adding an exhibit to illustrate the idea of each. The illustrations and snapshots are mine. There are two exceptions. The Northern Lights picture was taken by a news station and is so noted, and the picture of the vintage roses used for the cover of this book and which is used, courtesy of VintageHolidayCrafts.com. The reason this certain illustration was chosen for a book cover is because my mother's first name is Rose ( the book cover illustration has roses), her favorite color is pink (thus the pink roses). This book began to take shape, when I was searching for some now forgotten item in my mother's desk. Instead, I found a notebook of poems, dated, and dating back to about the year 1950 and written in pencil. I started to read and when I finished, I thought it would be a good idea to have a book published with these poems. My mother is now ninety-four years young. There is no time to waste. I want her to see this book, with her work, before she goes to live with God. She, herself, wrote a short biography, which is in the book, and which indicated that she would like to be able to know that her grandchildren would be reading her poems, songs, and short stories when she is no longer here. After the consolidation was completed, I read the book from beginning to end and found that, not only poems, songs, and short stories are in this book, but also the lives of her and her family. There are happy times and sad times. and there are tragedies. But, through all that, that has happened, the family is doing well. I think the reader will be able to relate to the events in this book, since it is an everyday American way of life. The poems are in chronological order. Each has it's own introduction, as do the songs and short stories. Each also has a light-hearted illustration made up of pictures taken from the family album or illustrated by the daughter.

I have wanted to give back something that might bring joy to others and leave a lasting testament to my family and friends. Not possessing exceptional talent, I struggled with how I could accomplish my desire. God came to my aid and provided me with the ability to put thoughts into poems, which many of my friends found with favor, and at their encouragement, I decided to put into this book. The Bible says to love your neighbor as you would yourself. I can honestly state that I have tried to live by that throughout my existence on this earth. It is my hope that this book will create an appreciative and thankful feeling in your heart for some of your life's personal experiences.

Our birthday, Anna Christines and mine, is December 12, just twelve days before Christmas. I do not know how old I was when I learned I had a twin sister. The only thing I remember being told is, You had a twin sister and she died. End of story. She was never talked about and never even given a name. For a period of time she did not seem real to me, so I gave her the name of Anna Christine. In my heart I wanted to make that connection and tell our story. That desire persisted, and out of that desire the book I longed to write is becoming a reality. Its My Birthday Too is a story about the journey of twin souls. During a memorable walk in December 2004, I connected to Anna Christine, and the bond that only twins have has become stronger every day. I know now that my twin has been with me always. She always has been and she always will be. So I invite you to join us on our journey. It is a story of a forever kind of love.

Book Is it possible to enter someone s dream

Download or read book Is it possible to enter someone s dream written by Victoria Socolova and published by Victoria Socolova. This book was released on 2016-10-20 with total page 47 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The world of our dreams is something more than our reality. It is in a dream where we can find ourselves in any point of space and time, where we learn secrets of the part, essence of the present and possibilities of the future. It is only in dreams where we can meet those who are no more with us, study options for forthcoming events or make our choice… Two states at all times most interesting for dreamers are lucid dreaming and prophetic dreams. However, no one ever considered them to be two equal types of dreams. One state is of interest for scientists and pragmatists; the other is for mystics, philosophers and esotery scientists. No one has ever thought them to exist on equal basis. Oneironauts participating in our project already use both aspects for several decades. When dreaming in a changed state of mind, every person is able to be an active participant of a lucid dream or a passive one – so-called information dream usually referred to as prophetic. What is important to know is that active dream involves deliberate actions while informative one is a passive contemplation and perception of information flows which does not depend on dreamer’s will and does not imply his corrections. The project is unique, and all the information you will find in this book, is published for the first time. One of the major goals of the project is to search dreamers for having joint dreams on the basis of certain setups called dream affirmations. For many of you most of this knowledge will mean real opportunity to manage your dreams and effectively use your connection with the unconsciousness and earth informational field, as well as find solutions to real problems, activate reserves of the organism, heal yourself, enter dreams of other people and meet those who are far from you in your dreams. There will be those of you who will open a new transcendent world with this book – a world which can change your life so much that you’ll become a completely different person seeing what others cannot see and experiencing new laws of the universe on your own

Book Death Dreams and Ghosts

Download or read book Death Dreams and Ghosts written by Aniela Jaffé and published by Daimon. This book was released on 1999 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A collection of death, dreams, and ghost stories were gathered and presented to C.G. Jung and the author, who approaches this fascinating material from the depths of her analytic experience. ¦ among the Swiss, who are commonly regarded as stolid, unimaginative, rationalistic and materialistic, there are just as many ghost stories and suchlike as, say, in England or Ireland. Indeed, as I know from my own experience ... magic as practiced in the Middle Ages ... has by no means died out, but still flourishes today ... I can recommend it to all those who know how to value things that break through the monotony of daily life with salutary effects, (sometimes!) shaking our certitudes and lending wings to the imagination " from the Foreword by C.G. Jung. We are left in the overpowering presence of a great mystery. 9783856305802

Book The End of Trauma

    Book Details:
  • Author : George A. Bonanno
  • Publisher : Basic Books
  • Release : 2021-09-07
  • ISBN : 1541674375
  • Pages : 282 pages

Download or read book The End of Trauma written by George A. Bonanno and published by Basic Books. This book was released on 2021-09-07 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With “groundbreaking research on the psychology of resilience” (Adam Grant), a top expert on human trauma argues that we vastly overestimate how common PTSD is in and fail to recognize how resilient people really are. After 9/11, mental health professionals flocked to New York to handle what everyone assumed would be a flood of trauma cases. Oddly, the flood never came. In The End of Trauma, pioneering psychologist George A. Bonanno argues that we failed to predict the psychological response to 9/11 because most of what we understand about trauma is wrong. For starters, it’s not nearly as common as we think. In fact, people are overwhelmingly resilient to adversity. What we often interpret as PTSD are signs of a natural process of learning how to deal with a specific situation. We can cope far more effectively if we understand how this process works. Drawing on four decades of research, Bonanno explains what makes us resilient, why we sometimes aren’t, and how we can better handle traumatic stress. Hopeful and humane, The End of Trauma overturns everything we thought we knew about how people respond to hardship.
