He investigated wrong-doings and battled against villains who would threaten the United States and her dominance on the high seas. DON WINSLOW was the brainchild of Lieutenant Commander Frank V. Martinek USNR and the character was originally conceived as a methods of promoting recruitment to the navy. It began as a newspaper strip in the 1930s, and was also a radio program. The comic book series reprinted newspaper strips for a time, before offering original DON WINSLOW stories beginning in 1943. This book contain all the stories from Don Winslow #6-9 (August-November 1943).
