A student learning style survey will provide information from parents regarding how the assist their child at home to succeed in school and the particular methods employed. Current literature suggests the power of culturally compatible teaching strategies, while direct information from parents is largely unavailable. The survey was distributed to parents whose children are currently in intermediate elementary education in a small suburban elementary school, north of a large Northwestern city. Five completed surveys are reviewed and two interviews were conducted. Parent information is then added to already established findings surrounding this topic.
