Diese sollen in einzelnen Punkten kurz erklärt und einige ausgewählte Aspekte Humboldts Ausführungen erläutert werden. Der zweite Teil meiner Arbeit befasst sich näher mit dem von mir ausgewählten Schwerpunkt, den Themen der Sprachphilosophie und den Sprachansichten Humboldts. Diese werden hier näher erklärt und in den wesentlichen Aspekten veranschaulicht. Die Arbeit insgesamt kann aber nur einen Einblick in die Gedanken Wilhelm von Humboldts darstellen, da seine umfassenden Theorien hier nur als Ausschnitt präsentiert werden können.

Nevertheless, many of the key concepts and fundamental ideas have endured throughout the twentieth century, though they have been interpreted in different ways.
