Subvolume II/27B : Diamagnetic Susceptibility of Organic Compounds, Oils, Paraffins and Polyethylenes Subvolume II/27C : Diamagnetic susceptibility and magnetic anisotropy of organic compounds. The present subvolume II/27B includes diamagnetic susceptibility of organic compounds. The calculated values of diamagnetic susceptibility of organic compounds have also been presented alongwith their experimental values. The calculated values of diamagnetic susceptibility have been calculated with the use of structural parameters in structural formula by using different theoretical methods available in the literature. The theoretical methods have been presented in subvolume II/27A alongwith the experimental methods. The organic compounds with their structural formula have been arranged by gross formula using Hill’s system. The values of experimental diamagnetic susceptibility have been expressed in both cgs and SI units.

However, by 1967 the whole spectrum of chemistry could no longer be contained within one volume and the series Specialist Periodical Reports was born. The Annual Reports themselves still existed but were divided into two, and subsequently three, volumes covering Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry. For more general coverage of the highlights in chemistry they remain a 'must'. Since that time the SPR series has altered according to the fluctuating degree of activity in various fields of chemistry. Some titles have remained unchanged, while others have altered their emphasis along with their titles; some have been combined under a new name whereas others have had to be discontinued.
