Book Computer Aided Design in Control and Engineering Systems

Download or read book Computer Aided Design in Control and Engineering Systems written by P. Martin Larsen and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2014-05-17 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Computer Aided Design in Control and Engineering Systems contains the proceedings of the 3rd International Federation of Automatic Control/International Federation for Information Processing Symposium held in Lyngby, Denmark, from July 31 to August 2, 1985. The papers review the state of the art and the trends in development of computer aided design (CAD) of control and engineering systems, techniques, procedures, and concepts. This book is comprised of 74 chapters divided into 17 sections and begins with a description of a prototype computer environment that combines expert control system analysis and design tools. The discussion then turns to decision support systems which could be used to address problems of management and control of large-scale multiproduct multiline batch manufacturing outside the mechanical engineering industries. The following chapters focus on the use of CAD in control education, industrial applications of CAD, and hardware/software systems. Some examples of universal and specialized CAD packages are presented, and applications of CAD in electric power plants, process control systems, and transportation systems are highlighted. The remaining chapters look at CAD/computer aided engineering/computer aided manufacturing systems as well as the use of mathematical methods in CAD. This monograph will be of interest to practitioners in computer science, computer engineering, and industrial engineering.

Book Artificial Intelligence in Chemical Engineering

Download or read book Artificial Intelligence in Chemical Engineering written by Thomas E. Quantrille and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2012-12-02 with total page 634 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Artificial intelligence (AI) is the part of computer science concerned with designing intelligent computer systems (systems that exhibit characteristics we associate with intelligence in human behavior). This book is the first published textbook of AI in chemical engineering, and provides broad and in-depth coverage of AI programming, AI principles, expert systems, and neural networks in chemical engineering. This book introduces the computational means and methodologies that are used to enable computers to perform intelligent engineering tasks. A key goal is to move beyond the principles of AI into its applications in chemical engineering. After reading this book, a chemical engineer will have a firm grounding in AI, know what chemical engineering applications of AI exist today, and understand the current challenges facing AI in engineering. - Allows the reader to learn AI quickly using inexpensive personal computers - Contains a large number of illustrative examples, simple exercises, and complex practice problems and solutions - Includes a computer diskette for an illustrated case study - Demonstrates an expert system for separation synthesis (EXSEP) - Presents a detailed review of published literature on expert systems and neural networks in chemical engineering

Book An Expert Systems Approach to Computer aided Design of Multivariable Systems

Download or read book An Expert Systems Approach to Computer aided Design of Multivariable Systems written by Grantham K. H. Pang and published by Berlin : Springer-Verlag. This book was released on 1987 with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt:

Book Multivariable Control Systems

Download or read book Multivariable Control Systems written by P. Albertos Pérez and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2004 with total page 357 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Multivariable Control Systems focuses on control design with continual references to the practical aspects of implementation. While the concepts of multivariable control are justified, the book emphasises the need to maintain student interest and motivation over exhaustive mathematical proof. Tools of analysis and representation are always developed as methods for achieving a final control system design and evaluation. Features: • design implementation laid out using extensive reference to MATLAB®; • combined consideration of systems (plant) and signals (mainly disturbances); • step-by-step approach from the objectives of multivariable control to the solution of complete design problems. Multivariable Control Systems is an ideal text for graduate students or for final-year undergraduates looking for more depth than provided by introductory textbooks. It will also interest the control engineer practising in industry and seeking to implement robust or multivariable control solutions to plant problems.

Book Computer Aided Design in Control Systems 1988

Download or read book Computer Aided Design in Control Systems 1988 written by Zhen-Yu Chen and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2017-05-03 with total page 489 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains 73 papers, presenting the state of the art in computer-aided design in control systems (CADCS). Book Systems Analysis and Simulation I

Download or read book Systems Analysis and Simulation I written by Achim Sydow and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 425 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Computer simulation has developed into a powerful tool for problem solving in a variety of areas, in the sciences as well as in industrial environments. New developments such as parallel simulation techniques will further improve the efficiency of the tool. Decision support systems, either based on mathematical models or on knowledge based expert systems will make computer simulation accessible to more users, and will provide better environments for systems analysis, modeling and simulation. Systems Analysis and Simulation presents the papers accepted for the 3rd International Symposium for Systems Analysis and Simulation held in Berlin (GDR) in September of 1988. The contributions selected for this two-volume set present the state of the art and current trends in computer simulation. Volume I emphasizes the theoretical foundations and the methodology for computer simulation and systems analysis. Volume II presents a variety of applications in fields such as manufacturing, robotics, economics, and biology.
