Even more important was the need to educate as many voters as possible to the belief that the regional plan for library service was practical and worthy of tax support for its continuance. Since the project was a pilot demonstration conducted by the state agency it was necessary to keep all librarians in the state informed as to progress and methods. This was done chiefly through the series of articles prepared for the Kansas Library Bulletin"-[Introduction]

The library question passed in both counties in the November 1962 election. The Pottawatomie County vote was 2,086 to 1,203 in favor and the Wabaunsee County vote was 1,770 to 877 in favor.
