Book The Dangers of the Crowd

Download or read book The Dangers of the Crowd written by Justus Izuchukwu Onuh and published by Justus Izuchukwu Onuh. This book was released on 2019-09-19 with total page 89 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book, “The Danger of the Crowd” evokes a feeling of agoraphobia by its title, but upon reading the content, one would be accompanied into a world of anamnesis by a reflective seminarian whose creative mind is second to none. The book is premised in the uniqueness of an individual and his inherent potential of making it to the high echelons of life without necessarily being a man of the crowd; that is, someone whose decisions and actions are being determined by the crowd. Suffice it to say that greatness evolves from singleness, in the right disposition of it; while failure might take its root from the influence of the crowd. By dint of birth, we are launched into the world just as death takes us away from the world. The two events are imperative accounts of our mission here on earth and they are divine calls which must be answered by an individual alone. This makes our individualities a necessary seed to fertilize the larger goal of life, our life’s purpose. Aptly, Izuchukwu Onuh uses eagle eyes to narrate the contemporary challenges in our society which stem from our personal lifestyles and misunderstood self-identities and how these challenges blunt the edges of our social life and make the social system a rotten one. Deploying moving stories and garnished styles of writing, he calls our minds to a life of quietude and solitude, the very state in which God can be encountered and good decisions made. A masterpiece, this book is as timely as it is all-round nourishing, especially in the present Nigerian situation that is challenged daily by noise: many speakers and few listeners. Take this book and do a simple exercise: withdraw from talking and listen to the author’s voice and your own responding voice that would soon form a paragon, a promising breed!

Book Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War

Download or read book Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War written by Matrix Thompson and published by Pamper Me Network. This book was released on 2016-01-25 with total page 56 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by Matrix Thompson & Sarika Khambaita and published by the Pamper Me Network, " Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War: The Battle For Good Vs Evil” is the final installment in “The Greatest Con In The History Of The Human Race" ebook series. The three part series takes a fresh look at social networking, crowd funding & Internet-based marketing systems, with a focus on teaching individuals and small business owners how they can level the playing field, share in the bounty the Internet offers and market like multinational corporations. Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War : The Battle For Good Vs Evil quickly summarizes the lessons learned in Volume I and Volume II of “The Greatest Con In The History Of The Human Race”—by drawing upon case studies of two of the largest social media networks and their very different approaches to interacting with their users. One social media network designs, implements and deploys collaborative strategies for users that creates opportunities for everyone, and the other develops collaborative strategies to create wealth for a few. While the “The Greatest Con In The History Of The Human Race” ebook series is extremely critical of some Internet business models and Internet entrepreneurs who are described in “Volume I” as the “Forces For Good” and the “Forces For Evil”, Who Is Winning The Social Media and Crowd Funding War: The Battle For Good Vs Evil attempts to demonstrate that it is indeed possible to engage all Internet users to share in the bounty that the Internet and new technologies offer by supporting socially responsible marketing strategies. We hope that you read all three ebooks with an open mind, and implement some of the ideas to: · Combine your social power with the crowd to market virtually any type of product or service; · Launch more innovative marketing strategies that benefits not only your business but the entire community; · Insure yourself against failure by joining social media networks powered by Social Rewards technology; · Grow your business while helping others to succeed. Book Mindsharing

Download or read book Mindsharing written by Lior Zoref and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2015-04-28 with total page 211 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Whether we need to make better financial choices, find the love of our life, or transform our career, crowdsourcing is the key to making quicker, wiser, more objective decisions. But few of us even come close to tapping the full potential of our online personal networks. Lior Zoref offers proven guidelines for applying what he calls "mind sharing" in new ways. For instance, he shows how a mother's Facebook update saved the life of a four-year-old boy, and how a manager used LinkedIn to create a year's worth of market research in less than a day. Zoref's clients are using his techniques to innovate and problem-solve in record time. Now he reveals how crowdsourcing has the ability to supercharge our thinking and upgrade every aspect of our lives.

Book A Seat in the Crowd

Download or read book A Seat in the Crowd written by Paul Windridge and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2007-02-26 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "A Seat in the Crowd" is about travelling the length and breadth of England and Europe in order to watch Manchester United. It is about the lifelong journey of two supporters (with the help of one or two friends along the way) who have been following their club for over 40 years each. A lifetime's support which has enjoyed a renaissance over the last decade due to the superb management of Alex Ferguson, who has taken the team, and consequently us too, to heights never before scaled. At the start of any season no-one can possibly know the outcome. Plenty think they do, but that is mere blind faith. It is an adventure which happens every year and these last few years have been very special to United supporters and most especially to us. Through the internet and the Manchester United mailing lists some of us have found friendship which will last the test of time. Apart from family, none of us mentioned in this book knew each other four years ago, but we are now a group of friends who have become an extended family. "A Seat in the Crowd" is just as much about these people as it is about the team on the pitch.

Book Criminal Psychology and the Criminal Justice System in India and Beyond

Download or read book Criminal Psychology and the Criminal Justice System in India and Beyond written by Sanjeev P. Sahni and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-10-01 with total page 271 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a focused and comprehensive overview of criminal psychology in different socio-economic and psycho-sociological contexts. It informs readers on the role of psychology in the various aspects of the criminal justice process, starting from the investigation of a crime to the rehabilitation or reintegration of the offender. Current research in criminology and psychology has been discussed to understand the minds of various offenders, how to interact with them during investigation and conviction effectively and how to bring about positive changes in various stages of the criminal justice process—investigation, prosecution, incarceration, rehabilitation—to increase the efficacy of the correctional system and improve public confidence in the justice system. It thoroughly addresses the bigger issues of holistically reducing the increase in crime rates and susceptibility in society. Each chapter builds on leading scholarship in this field from Western scholars and supplements these theories with research findings from a South Asian perspective, particularly in the Indian criminal justice system. This book successfully encapsulates the foundations of criminal psychology literature while incorporating interdisciplinary avenues of study into criminal behaviour and legal psychology, bringing into the provincial discourse lacunas of the justice system and avenues for alternative correctional and rehabilitative programs.

Book Adventurous Ventures

Download or read book Adventurous Ventures written by Aryan Gupta and published by Namya Press. This book was released on with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book would not have been written without the blessings of the superior being, the almighty who protected and helped me all along to achieve my dream. Special thanks to my mother, I know her as mom, the world knows her as ‘Shikha Gupta’, for helping and supporting me every step of the way. You introduced me to a variety of books, identified my potential to write and helped me enhance it. “Your stories are like memories you share with a person”. That is what she said. She also said something heavy like, “your stories are your footprint in the sands of time, forever and ever”. Only now I am beginning to understand what she really meant. Sincere thanks, my mentor - my guide, ‘Meera Ma’am’ for your love, care and support. This book would have been impossible without you and your help every step of the way.

Download or read book Mary S Son written by Frank Durham and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2016-11-28 with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Marys Son is a fictional account of how Mary, the mother of our Savior, dealt with the challenges of his three-year ministry. She not only had to deal with the daily rejection of the people in the village of Nazareth but also the doubts of her children. Who is this young carpenter who left his mother in the olive grove to go off and find his cousin, John, who claims to be the forerunner of the Messiah? Mary is aware that he is Gods son, and that he is destined for something special. But what is Gods plan for him? What does she tell her close friends and neighbors who love and support her? How does she convince her children to continue to have faith when their brother is performing miracles and claiming to be the Messiah? And how does she, as a mother, deal with the religious leaders rejection of him and threats to kill him? Finally, how does she cope with his trial before the Sanhedrin and Pilate, along with his flogging and crucifixion? This book is a sequel to my first book, Joseph the Carpenter from Nazareth. Both books are my perception of what took place during Jesuss family life and his ministrys impact on his mother and siblings. Because this book is work of fiction, I have paraphrased most of the scripture used. I encourage my readers to read all four of the Gospels because I intentionally left out most of the scripture where Jesus is speaking only to his disciples.
