Book Cross And Crime Jesus Came to Crucify the World The Gospel of Philip

Download or read book Cross And Crime Jesus Came to Crucify the World The Gospel of Philip written by Hans Atrott and published by America Star Books. This book was released on 2015-10-02 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Jesus Christ” denied that there is a “Last Judgement,” “heaven” or “hell” (to come), (see: Lu 17:20-21). “Religion,” “truths” and “love” etc. are that what one makes others believe according to the credo (of megalomania) a) faith shifts mountains (see: Mt 17:20) and the truths anyway and b) “do not resist the evil” (Mt 5:39). Since the sinners, cannot comply with the notions of god, truths, ethics, love, and religion, they shall adapt those terms corresponding to their depravities. Hence, the only thing that came and always is going to occur is the Christians’ criminal record but no heaven.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quite simply, one of the most powerful, moving pieces of Christian literature of modern times. Other books have recorded the crucifixion and resurrection, but never before has the reader been ushered into unseen realms to witness the power of the cross as seen from the view of God the Father. You will discover a whole world of new meaning of Christ's death as you witness the destruction of the world systems, the annihilation of the law, the end of Adam's fallen race...and the death of Death. Here is an unequaled drama of power and depth which Christian literature has rarely, if ever, achieved. Edward's The Day I Was Crucified As Told By Jesus the Christ now takes its place among the greatest of Christian literature. We will still be reading this book 200 years from now, and still weeping (and praising) as we read. This is one of those rare life-transforming books.

Book excerpt: Jesus' trial was undoubtedly the greatest miscarriage of justice in the history of the world. Yet the rulers and leaders followed the letter of the law. So how did an innocent man end up dying like a common criminal? Beginning with the diabolical conspiracy to kill him, James Boice and Philip Ryken focus on seven aspects of the legal proceedings surrounding Jesus' arrest, trials, and crucifixion. Through Boice and Ryken's clear definition of the issues and incisive reminders of how the Jewish and Roman laws compare to our own laws, you will learn what you need to know to sit in the jury box and make a ruling. As a juror, you will grapple with who Christ was, what he did, and why he died. As a human, you will be astonished by these events and humbled by the reminder that Jesus did it all for you.

Book Final Words from the Cross

Download or read book Final Words from the Cross written by Adam Hamilton and published by Abingdon Press. This book was released on 2011 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In life and in death, Jesus' words were powerful and meaningful. Despite the serious effort and increased pain required for Jesus to speak as he hung on the cross, Jesus spoke seven "final words"--statements that have much to teach us about Jesus, his Father, and ourselves: Father Forgive Them Behold Your Son...Behold Your Mother My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me? Today You Will Be with Me in Paradise I Thirst It Is Finished Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit In 24 Hours That Changed the World, Adam Hamilton took us on a Lenten journey through the last day of Jesus' life. Now in this inspiring follow-up book, Hamilton explores these final words as seen and heard through the eyes and ears of those who stood near the cross. Each chapter begins with the biblical account followed by a first-person story as might have been told from the viewpoint of one of the characters at the cross. Then the chapter explores the meaning of Jesus' dying words for our lives today. Following the last statement, a postscript recounts the words Jesus spoke following his resurrection, including what truly were the final words Jesus spoke while walking this earth. Join the crowd now and experience the final words from the cross. Final Words from the Cross offers six chapters/sessions plus a postscript chapter/session, so that classes have the option of a seventh session on Easter Sunday. Book excerpt: In 2015, just a few years after the revolution in Egypt and, simultaneously, an increase in terrorist attacks, the elderly mother, highly self-sufficient Danielle Tisell, decided she would travel to Egypt to explore and learn as much as she could about that country. With high anxiety, daughter Jena felt she had no choice but to become her mother’s traveling companion. Their trip began in Cairo. After visiting the pyramids in Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, they spent the next five days on a pilgrimage to the Christian sites where the Holy Family stayed during their exile to Egypt. And, to finish off their journey with a flourish, Jena and Danielle took a five-day river cruise from Luxor to Aswan; the highpoint of their tour: seeing Mount Sinai, where God gave Moses the stone tablets engraved with the Ten Commandments.

Book I Am the Way

Download or read book I Am the Way written by Philip Wesley Comfort and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2001-12-17 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Gospel of John follows Jesus on a journey that will take the disciples to God. Herein is the pattern for every pilgrim. In this textual and literary study, Philip Wesley Comfort traces the Òjourney motifÓ around which John organized his account of Jesus' life, death, resurrection, and final days with his disciples. When Jesus says in John 14:6, ÒI am the way, and the truth and the life,Ó modern disciples can see an immediate reference to his own journey from heaven to earth, and back to heaven. But that message has important implications for us as well. Jesus did not return alone to the Father. All believers went with him. While Comfort has written an in-depth literary study, the relevance of his theme for Christian living makes I Am the Way a sound basis for reflective preaching, teaching, and devotional reading.

Book The Psychology of Christ

Download or read book The Psychology of Christ written by William Cavitt and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2012-11 with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book does not condemn secular counseling. Secular theories are compatible with pastoral counseling and can be used to guide a treatment plan and to implement therapeutic interventions. The thrust of the book is that Christian pastoral counseling must be a tool available to the client because the propensity for success is greater than secular counseling. The book presents a paradigm with justification from Holy Scripture that will aid a client in solving life s problems and create a model for a life of wellbeing. It reintroduces a text that offers a well traveled and proven path of peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, a text that has been rejected by secular mental health professionals and society in general, but still survives. This text is the Bible. If the Holy Bible was used as a road map for society the problems in America would be fewer and less intense. Also once problems did occur the spiritual tools would be readily available along with the counselor to comfort the clients. The counselors, spiritual advisors, and clients would be assured the Author of the Universe would become the primary counselor with proven healing power. The book s first three chapters lay out an overview of general considerations for counseling using the holistic approach. It emphasizes the influence spirituality has on all aspects of wellbeing and encourages counselors and spiritual advisors to use scripture based interventions to help the client change their ineffective thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and to enhance their wellbeing in life. Succeeding chapters present a windshield tour of experiences illustrating how different incidences and periods can have a profound effect on the physical, psychological, cognitive, social, and moral aspects of life. These incidences and periods were designed by God to make a person who they are and they include hard times and easy times. Good times and bad times mold a person s character into who God desires. The incidences are presented by viewing some experiences in the life of a male named Andy. Readers are introduced to Andy s life as he experiences physical, psychological, cognitive, and social growth. It is important to note how Andy develops in these areas of wellbeing via a strong spiritual awakening that envelopes all aspects of his life. It is recommended that the reader study the first three chapters to obtain a working knowledge of the holistic counseling structure, which is used throughout this book. The messages of this book are equally important to counselors, spiritual advisors, clients, and people in general.
