Book excerpt: L'arrivée de l'informatique dans les professions médicales a permis d'apporter une aide importante dans la prise en charge des patients et de révolutionner la gestion des cabinets. Les logiciels dentaires, de plus en plus performants, contiennent un grand nombre d'informations personnelles, telles que la rémunération et les coordonnées de l'équipe du cabinet. Tous les détails concernant la gestion des fournisseurs y sont également répertoriés. De plus, ces logiciels de gestion rassemblent surtout toutes les informations administratives et les données de santé des patients suivis au cabinet. La sécurité de ces fichiers doit donc être garantie afin de respecter la confidentialité des patients comme le prévoit le secret médical. A ce titre, les cabinets dentaires sont soumis au "règlement général sur la protection des données". L'offre sur ces outils numériques s'est diversifiée avec l'essor de l'informatique en cabinet et les performances des logiciels sont de plus en plus recherchées. Les chirurgiens dentistes ont donc le choix quant au logiciel qui rythmera leur quotidien. Nous avons souhaité comparer les 4 logiciels les plus représentés sur le marché français. Pour cela, nous avons axé nos études sur l'accès et l'ergonomie du schéma dentaire qui est une porte d'entrée commune à tous les logiciels et un accès naturel au dossier patient. Afin d'illustrer notre étude, nous avons diffusé un questionnaire auprès de chirurgiens-dentistes pour bénéficier de leur retour d'expérience, et avoir ainsi des éléments factuels de comparaison concernant ces logiciels-métier.

The primary objective of this review is to assess the effects on child health, growth, and development, and on maternal health, of exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months vs exclusive breastfeeding for 3-4 months with mixed breastfeeding (introduction of complementary liquid or solid foods with continued breastfeeding) thereafter through 6 months.

Book excerpt: This volume continues the collaboration between the RMC book series and the French management research think tank ISEOR (Socio-Economic Institute for Firms and Organizations). Those familiar with Henri Savall’s and his colleague Véronique Zardet’s earlier work on the socio-economic theory of organizations will recognize their assessments of organizational dysfunctions and hidden costs – but in a different context. In their current work, the emphasis is on the tensions created by the wider environment – the idea of tetranormalization – and how those tensions shape and influence organizational life. Drawing on a wide range of examples from the news media and popular press, Savall and Zardet paint a disturbing picture of the underlying dynamics and challenges posed by a literal avalanche of standards and norms – which are often ambiguous and conflicting – that literally encompasses all that we do. Their analytic framework is composed of four “poles” – two social dimensions and two economic dimensions – that capture social norms and quality, safety and environment standards (the social dimension), and trade-related norms and accounting and financial standards (the economic dimension). Throughout the volume, Savall and Zardet’s analysis captures the myriad ways in which these dimensions interact, shaping the “rules of the game” that dictate how organizations compete and collaborate.
