Il poursuit son évolution au cours de la scolarité et se consolide avec le temps. Le langage écrit est omniprésent au cycle 1. Parfois, son apprentissage est retardé et difficile ; c'est le cas des élèves présentant une dyslexie et/ou une dysorthographie (DL/DO). Les DL/DO sont les troubles spécifiques du langage écrit. En France, on estime entre 3 et 5 % le nombre d'élèves du primaire atteints. Les conséquences sont multiples : scolaires, familiales, psychologiques et sociales. Elles se reflètent dans le quotidien de l'enfant, principalement à l'école. L'enseignant se retrouve plongé dans ces troubles, parfois sans aide extérieure et sans savoir ce qu'il se passe. Le rôle de l'orthophoniste, primordial dans le diagnostic, la rééducation et l'accompagnement de ces enfants, ne peut être efficace sans le repérage de leurs difficultés. Il faut alors prévenir les enseignants de l'importance du repérage précoce, première étape du parcours de soin de l'enfant DL/DO. Tous deux acteurs de ce parcours, enseignants et orthophonistes se doivent de collaborer. Afin d'optimiser cette collaboration, nous avons interrogé les enseignants sur leurs difficultés. Nous relevons une plainte conséquente concernant un manque de formation et d'informations sur les troubles DL/DO. De cette carence ressort un besoin de renseignements auprès des orthophonistes. Nous avons donc choisi d'élaborer un livret informatif sur les troubles spécifiques du langage écrit, à destination des enseignants du primaire. Élaboré avec les enseignants interrogés, nous créons une infographie sous format PDF, accessible à tous. Elle regroupe des outils, des informations, des ressources sur les troubles DL/DO, une partie concernant le vécu de l'élève, et des renseignements permettant une meilleure collaboration enseignants/orthophonistes. Sa diffusion a débuté en mai 2021 et se poursuit.

Le film a été réalisé dans une classe de petite section de maternelle où notre démarche s'est décomposée en trois temps : une phase d'observation pour se familiariser avec les enfants et l'enseignant, l'élaboration et la passation de grilles d'observation nous permettant de cibler les comportements langagiers des enfants, et enfin la conception et la mise en place d'activités centrées sur des règles conversationnelles. Nous terminons notre mémoire par des remarques personnelles sur les différents aspects de notre travail et par les directives récentes de l'Education Nationale qui correspondent tant à notre démarche qu'elles semblent la justifier point par point.

Book excerpt: La première condamnation de la France par le Comité Européen des droits sociaux pour non-respect de ses obligations éducatives à l'égard des personnes autistes, rendue publique en mars 2004, a agi comme un électrochoc. Quatre plans quadriennaux nationaux se sont alors succédé afin de rattraper le retard français dans le diagnostic précoce et la prise en charge des personnes avec un Trouble du Spectre de l'Autisme (TSA). Des moyens ont été déployés avec notamment la création des Unités d'Enseignement en Maternelle pour enfants avec Autisme (UEMA). Malgré cela, il n'existe pas de consensus sur la façon d'aborder la prise en charge précoce au sein de ces unités. Face à ce constat, de récentes études proposent de nouvelles pistes de prise en charge innovantes. Ainsi, l'entraînement de l'imitation, selon Nadel, permettrait de développer le langage oral chez les enfants avec TSA non verbaux. Dans cette étude, nous cherchons à vérifier l'hypothèse stipulant qu'entraîner l'imitation permet de développer les autres prérequis au langage oral et à la communication, et de faire émerger le langage oral. Quatre jeunes enfants avec TSA non verbaux ont été entraînés à développer des compétences en imitation durant des séances de 10 minutes, 3 à 4 fois par semaine, pendant 6 mois. Au terme de l'évaluation finale, tous ont obtenu des scores légèrement supérieurs à ceux obtenus lors de l'évaluation initiale en reconnaissance d'être imité, en imitation spontanée et en imitation sur demande. Les prérequis au langage oral et à la communication se sont également développés. Néanmoins, le cadre de l'étude impliquant un déploiement au sein de l'UEMA, où les enfants ont de multiples prises en charge complémentaires, a induit des biais ne permettant pas de conclure dans quelle mesure les améliorations recensées chez tous les participants peuvent être imputées au protocole d'imitation mis en oeuvre.

Book excerpt: Introduction : les médecins généralistes se retrouvent fréquemment face à une demande de prescription de bilan orthophonique, conseillée aux parents par l'enseignant de leur enfant. L'avis de l'enseignant est souvent le déterminant essentiel de la prescription médicale. Le but principal de l'étude est d'explorer les pratiques des enseignants de maternelle, concernant le repérage des troubles du langage, les conduisant à conseiller un bilan orthophonique, de comprendre leurs difficultés éventuelles et les modes de relation entretenus avec le personnel de santé. Méthode : étude qualitative menée auprès de 12 enseignants de petite et moyenne section de maternelle par entretiens individuels semi-dirigés. Les entretiens ont fait l'objet d'une analyse thématique puis typologique. Résultats : les enseignants se vivent comme acteurs indispensables dans le repérage des troubles du langage en amont de la consultation médicale. Malgré un manque allégué de formation initiale et l'absence d'outil mis à disposition, les enseignants revendiquent leur responsabilité dans cette mission. Ils justifient leur compétence par leur poste d'observation privilégié et leur expérience. Ils se décrivent comme légitimes dans ce travail malgré des doutes sur certaines de leurs observations. Ils souhaitent un retour d'information des médecins et des orthophonistes sur les troubles repérés chez les enfants et expriment une frustration à propos du manque de communication avec les professionnel du soin. Deux types de pratique de repérage ont pu être distinguées : une pratique de repérage d'écart à la norme, conforme aux prescriptions de l'institution et une pratique plus engagée de type lanceur d'alerte. Conclusion : le repérage et la prise en charge précoce des troubles du langage est une priorité de santé publique. Cette mission de repérage et de dépistage ne peut se réaliser et s'améliorer sans une étroite collaboration entre les milieux scolaires et médicaux.

Nous présenterons les actions de prévention menées à l'échelle nationale en particulier celles destinées aux enfants des écoles maternelles (entre 3 et 6 ans). Enfin, nous constaterons le manque de formation des enseignants dans le domaine du langage , notamment pour cette tranche d'âge. Dans une seconde partie nous aborderons les différentes étapes qui nous ont permis de créer ce livret. Des premiers contacts avec les enseignants, pour évaluer avec eux leurs besoins dans le domaine du langage, mais aussi pour faire le point sur l'orthophonie (les différents lieux d'exercice, les pathologies prises en charge, le public auprès duquel interviennent les orthophonistes...), en passan tpar la création et l'analyse avec les enseignants d'un livret provisoire, jusqu'à l'aboutissement de notre projet : la création du livret définitif.

He went on to write many books and film scripts.
