Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It was a beautiful night, the stars were glistening in the sky. The moonlight shimmered and shone like a beacon of hope. Everything seemed to be just right with the world, but not for me. I felt empty inside, as if something was missing from my life that I could not put into words. Then it happened. I heard a voice calling out to me from beyond this world - an unfiltered call from God himself. It said: "Come speak to me". Without hesitation I got up and followed the mysterious voice until I arrived at an old oak tree surrounded by lush green grass and vibrant wildflowers swaying in the gentle breeze. When I approached, God appeared before me in all His glory; yet somehow still radiated warmth and kindness that no human being had ever been able to provide before then. In awe of what I saw, I fell onto my knees before Him ready to receive whatever instruction would come next...but there wasn't any...just silence between us both..until finally God spoke again: "What do you want?". In that moment something shifted within me; I felt liberated! Suddenly all those feelings of emptiness disappeared as this newfound freedom filled every inch of my soul with joyousness unlike anything else before! And so without further delay or hesitation, I opened my mouth and began speaking about everything on my mind - things I never told anyone else before - thoughts suppressed deep within myself for fear of judgement or ridicule now spilling out without bounds into this surrealistic space where nothing held back their expression anymore! The conversations went on late into night....unfiltered emotions revealed themselves one after another like waves crashing against shoreline only leaving behind beauty in its wake when they retreated once more beneath surface.....it was raw...emotional..explicit even-yet still there remained a sense of peace emanating throughout entire exchange despite intensity present at times....and afterwards when dawn started creeping through horizon signaling end conversation drawing near ..I rose up feeling renewed..rejuvenated almost as if given new lease life itself ...one thing certain though, I knew deep down, I will never forget Late Night talks I had shared with Lord God Almighty Himself.... Late Night Talks: Unfiltered Conversations with God was inspired by a chain of events that had occurred in my life. I was led by the Spirit of God to share some of the things I went through, with each and everyone one of you! I want to let you know that you are not alone. Many of have us have similar stories or experiences that we seek answers to; the why's or how's of the things we go through. Often times we hear that we shouldn't question God but if there are no questions, there are no answers. These are the Unfiltered Conversations with God that no one wants to discuss. This is my dairy to God allow it to used as yours as well!

Book Moon Face and Other Stories

Download or read book Moon Face and Other Stories written by Jack London and published by Lindhardt og Ringhof. This book was released on 2021-07-07 with total page 63 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We’ve all taken a dislike to someone for no real reason. But few of us nurture this hatred like the narrator of "Moon-Face". The target of his irrational malice is a man named John Claverhouse. With cold precision, the narrator sets to planning the man’s downfall. Why he has this urge, he can’t explain. But he knows he’ll feel immense satisfaction when John Claverhouse is made to suffer. In this macabre little tale, Jack London pinpoints a very common but unpleasant human trait. And then takes it to a horrifying extreme. This short story collection also includes "All Gold Canyon", which was adapted as part of the Netflix anthology movie "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs". Jack London (1876–1916) was one of the first American writers to achieve worldwide celebrity. He did so with rugged adventure stories set in forbidding landscapes. And heroes who survive by embracing their most primal instincts. His breakthrough best seller was "The Call of the Wild". Inspired by his time in the Klondike Gold Rush, this hard-hitting novel is told from the perspective of a sled dog named Buck. It’s inspired many adaptations, including a big-budget movie starring Harrison Ford. Among London’s other notable works are "White Fang", also featuring a canine protagonist, as well as "The Sea-Wolf", "Martin Eden" and "The Iron Heel".

Book excerpt: ‘KUMBA AFRICA’, is a compilation of African Short Stories written as fiction by Sampson Ejike Odum, nostalgically taking our memory back several thousands of years ago in Africa, reminding us about our past heritage. It digs deep into the traditional life style of the Africans of old, their beliefs, their leadership, their courage, their culture, their wars, their defeat and their victories long before the emergence of the white man on the soil of Africa. As a talented writer of rich resource and superior creativity, armed with in-depth knowledge of different cultures and traditions in Africa, the Author throws light on the rich cultural heritage of the people of Africa when civilization was yet unknown to the people. The book reminds the readers that the Africans of old kept their pride and still enjoyed their own lives. They celebrated victories when wars were won, enjoyed their New yam festivals and villages engaged themselves in seasonal wrestling contest etc; Early morning during harmattan season, they gathered firewood and made fire inside their small huts to hit up their bodies from the chilling cold of the harmattan. That was the Africa of old we will always remember. In Africa today, the story have changed. The people now enjoy civilized cultures made possible by the influence of the white man through his scientific and technological process. Yet there are some uncivilized places in Africa whose people haven’t tested or felt the impact of civilization. These people still maintain their ancient traditions and culture. In everything, we believe that days when people paraded barefooted in Africa to the swarmp to tap palm wine and fetch firewood from there farms are almost fading away. The huts are now gradually been replaced with houses built of blocks and beautiful roofs. Thanks to modern civilization. Donkeys and camels are no longer used for carrying heavy loads for merchants. They are now been replaced by heavy trucks and lorries. African traditional methods of healing are now been substituted by hospitals. In all these, I will always love and remember Africa, the home of my birth and must respect her cultures and traditions as an AFRICAN AUTHOR.
