Book excerpt: Ces dernières années, des campagnes de sensibilisation sur l'analyse métrologique de la détermination des contraintes par diffraction des rayons X ont été menées par le Groupement Français d'Analyse de Contraintes, le GFAC, constitué de laboratoires industriels et universitaires. Sous son impulsion, une norme française, la norme XPA 09-285 à d'ores et déjà vu le jour en mai 1999 et une norme européenne est actuellement en phase terminale d'écriture. Ces normes ont pour objectifs d'harmoniser les protocoles expérimentaux et d'uniformiser les calculs analytiques afin de réduire les dispersions de type inter-laboratoires. Néanmoins, même si elles constituent une avancée considérable dans l'établissement d'un guide de mesure, elles ne permettent pas encore de répondre aux attentes particulières des industriels, notamment sur les limites de la technique et sur le calcul d'incertitude, notions essentielles pour l'accréditation des grandeurs mesurées. Cette thèse résulte des attentes conjuguées de trois grands groupes industriels que sont RENAULT, PEUGEOT S.A. et SNECMA au sein desquels la diffraction des rayons X pour l'analyse des contraintes résiduelles est quotidiennement utilisée. Ce travail n'a pas la prétention de répondre à l'ensemble des problématiques associées à cette méthode d'analyse. Il a pour vocation de contribuer à la fiabilité des protocoles de mesure et à l'interprétation des résultats dans le milieu industriel. Il constitue, en outre, une étape embryonnaire de la vaste étude métrologique engagée par le GFAC sur cette technique utilisée pour la détermination des contraintes résiduelles dans les matériaux polycristallins. Ainsi, des études diverses sont ici proposées et elles concernent principalement : L'analyse détaillée d'un test inter-laboratoire en vue de certifier des étalons de référence. L'influence de la troncature des pics de diffraction dans la détermination des contraintes. The approximation schemes are formulated for fermions and bosons at eigher zero or non-zero temperature. Although the formalism developed applies to both finite and infinite systems, the book stresses those aspects of the theory that are specific to the description of finite systems. Thus special attention is given to mean field approximations, the ensuing broken symmetries, and the associated collective motions such as rotations. Conversely, some specific features of systems with infinite numbers of degrees of freedom (such as the thermodynamic limit, critical phenomena, and the elimination of ultraviolet divergencies) are deliberately omitted.
