Book excerpt: Le travail de ce mémoire porte sur la commande vectorielle de machines à reluctance variable en tenant compte des courants induits dans le rotor, quand celui-ci est massif, et en tenant compte de l'effet de saturation. L'étude a été limitée à la machine à reluctance variable à stator lisse et rotor massif et la machine Vernier non excitée, structures qui présentent les caractéristiques de couple les plus intéressantes. La modélisation de Park de chacune des deux machines, en négligeant l'effet de la saturation, a permis de définir une stratégie de commande pouvant contrôler le couple de ces machines à partir de celui des deux composantes diphasées des courants statoriques. Cette stratégie de commande a ensuite été appliquée, en simulation à un prototype d'une machine à reluctance variable à stator lisse dont on a identifié les paramètres, alimenté par un onduleur à MLI. Le contrôle des deux courants diphasés indépendamment l'un de l'autre étant assuré par une matrice de découplage introduite dans le bloc de commande. La suite du travail a porté sur l'étude de l'influence des amortisseurs sur la commande de la MRV à stator lisse, et ce en variant, la simulation, les coefficients de couplage entre les enroulements statoriques et les amortisseurs, ce qui nous a éclairés sur la forme idéale que devrait avoir la MRV à stator lisse pour que la commande vectorielle soit optimale. Les expressions des correcteurs obtenues pour le modèle sans amortisseurs sont ensuite exploitées pour simplifier celles obtenues pour le modèle avec amortisseurs. La dernière partie du mémoire est consacrée à la modélisation et la commande de la MRV a stator lisse en tenant en compte des amortisseurs, de l'effet de saturation et de l'effet croisé entre l'axe d et l'axe q. À partir d'un modèle utilisant les inductances statiques et dynamiques en fonction des différents courants, et en négligeant l'effet croisé dynamique, la même stratégie de commande peut être utilisée pour ce modèle complet avec des résultats numériques très satisfaisants

Book excerpt: De par leur principe de fonctionnement, les machines a reluctance variable (mrv) a double denture, peuvent constituer des solutions interessantes pour les entrainements necessitant des fonctionnements a fort couple et faible vitesse. Dans le cas de la conversion de l'energie eolienne en energie electrique, elles peuvent apporter une amelioration en supprimant le multiplicateur de vitesse. Apres avoir effectue une classification succincte des mrv, nous avons adopte pour cette application, une structure synchrone a double denture excitee par des aimants permanents inseres au rotor. Par la suite, en se basant sur les principes de dimensionnement des machines synchrones, nous avons propose une demarche pour effectuer son predimensionnement. Afin d'evaluer ses performances, nous avons effectue la modelisation de la machine en utilisant la methode des elements finis (mef) et le modele du circuit electrique equivalent. En plus de la mef, une approche analytique basee sur le calcul de la permeance d'entrefer et du potentiel scalaire magnetique est proposee pour identifier les parametres du modele du circuit electrique equivalent (inductances et f.e.m.). Apres sa validation, ce modele a ete retenu, pour etudier les performances de l'ensemble generatrice-redresseur a mli dans les conditions reelles de fonctionnement (frequence du convertisseur elevee). Enfin, nous avons aborde l'optimisation des parametres geometriques et magnetiques de la structure pour maximiser sa puissance. Pour cela, nous avons adopte la methode des plans d'experiences conjuguee au calcul de champs. Cette demarche permet de prendre en consideration les conditions reelles de fonctionnement (saturation et fonctionnement dynamique des aimants) ainsi que les interactions entre les differents parametres. L'interet de cette methode a ete mis en evidence. L'etude des performances d'un prototype optimise a montre une amelioration pour tous les modes de fonctionnement.

Book excerpt: In the first BACOMET volume different perspectives on issues concerning teacher education in mathematics were presented (B. Christiansen, A. G. Howson and M. Otte, Perspectives on Mathematics Education, Reidel, Dordrecht, 1986). Underlying all of them was the fundamental problem area of the relationships between mathematical knowledge and the teaching and learning processes. The subsequent project BACOMET 2, whose outcomes are presented in this book, continued this work, especially by focusing on the genesis of mathematical knowledge in the classroom. The book developed over the period 1985-9 through several meetings, much discussion and considerable writing and redrafting. Our major concern was to try to analyse what we considered to be the most significant aspects of the relationships in order to enable mathematics educators to be better able to handle the kinds of complex issues facing all mathematics educators as we approach the end of the twentieth century. With access to mathematics education widening all the time, with a multi tude of new materials and resources being available each year, with complex cultural and social interactions creating a fluctuating context of education, with all manner of technology becoming more and more significant, and with both informal education (through media of different kinds) and non formal education (courses of training etc. ) growing apace, the nature of formal mathematical education is increasingly needing analysis.
