Il s’agit de montrer que l’humain n’est pas dissociable de la digitalisation dans une matière aussi sensible que l’exécution forcée. Il s’agit de la première fois pour l’UIHJ de publier un ouvrage distribué au congrès qui sera disponible à la vente. Les résultats des travaux qui amènent à cet ouvrage sont cruciaux et important pour l’avenir de notre profession. L’expérience qui existe au sein de chacun des 93 membres de l’UIHJ est une richesse dont tout le monde doit s’inspirer dans un domaine aussi sensible que l’exécution forcée. Par ailleurs nous constatons dans notre profession d’huissier de justice que notre monde est entouré de la digitalisation et qu’on assiste à une émergence de notions que nous avons du mal à cerner tel que Blockchain, AI, Big Data, Machine Learning... au début ces termes ne nous faisaient pas peur, depuis l’apparition de la justice prédictive, des smart contrat qui s’auto exécutent il est temps pour la profession de réagir. L’ouvrage se veut donc le résultat de cette recherche à travers le monde afin de proposer des pistes et solutions concrètes de quelle manière l’huissier de justice peut-il enrichir la digitalisation dans un monde où on veut le contraire, c’est-à-dire promouvoir la fin des tiers de confiance.

Ainsi, elle tend, de plus en plus, à être considérée comme un service susceptible de faire la preuve de sa performance. Elle devient un bien que l'on "achète" sur un marché, et dont les opérateurs tentent de rationaliser la production et l'évaluation. Ces évolutions, plus sensibles dans le secteur de la formation professionnelle, que de la formation initiale, sont limitées mais bien réelles. Le transfert de démarches qualité, à l'origine industrielles, au domaine de la formation, trouve sans doute là une bonne partie de sa justification. Mais la formation n'est pas un "produit" objectivable, dont on peut, par la seule rationalisation, assurer la qualité. Elle est un "construit" social, coproduit par les acteurs au long d'un processus complexe. Les démarches qualité en formation ne peuvent donc être menées à l'instar de celles appliquées à des produits industriels. Elles exigent de placer les acteurs - et leur coopération - au cœur d'un dispositif organisationnel, d'aller au-delà d'une recherche de conformité, pour conceptualiser la qualité de la formation en termes d'usage. Après avoir passé en revue les diverses initiatives qualité dans le champ de la formation, les auteurs, chercheurs et consultants (membres du Laboratoire d'études et de recherches appliquées en sciences sociales, LERASS ; équipe de recherche qualité, homme et changement organisationnel), proposent ici d'articuler réflexion et pratique. Ils développent une conception originale, qui débouche sur une nouvelle approche de la qualité de la formation, pour alimenter un débat désormais essentiel.

An international publication by the two project directors, due to appear at the beginning of 1997, will report on the findings of the project, which involves 26 countries. The contributions presented here reflect a broad geographical spectrum as well as a wide range of policy models. From an analysis of these studies, it is apparent that this is a field in which there has been much innovation and which encompasses markedly varying approaches in response to different national conditions.

Eschewing dominant engineering and management perspectives on construction, the book is purposefully broad in its scope, both empirically and theoretically, as reflecting the rich underexplored potential of studies of building construction to inform a wide span of intellectual debates across the social science and humanities. The seven chapters encompass contributions to theories of: spatiotemporal organization with wildlife on building sites; institutional change with building ruins; home with Mexican self-help housing; place with a suburban housing development; socio-materiality with the adaptation of a university library; migrant labour with the Parisian postwar construction boom; and gender with a female site manager in Sweden. This book seeks to develop a new critical sub-area for construction studies that focuses on the actual processes and practices of ‘constructing'. Bringing together diverse members of construction research communities working in a variety of contexts, it develops empirical engagements with building work to challenge its marginalization, relative to architectural studies, to provoke novel understandings of human history, geography and sociology.
