Each of the 61 NETED commands is described on a separate page, as well as in the cross-referencing summary by function. A discussion of the history of NETED and its many features, a sample annotated session, and a list of all diagnostic messages are included. NETED has several advantage over the standard Intercom EDITOR. These include: (1) low cost -- inexpensive to use; (2) does not require line numbering; (3) allows the merging of files; (4) allows much longer search and replacement strings; (5) supports full ASCII upper and lower case files; (6) is not a multi-user job, if it does hang, it may be aborted; (7) uses only a small amount of memory (currently under 21K octal).
