Book excerpt: COME GROW WITH ME is an inspirational book of children's poetry written from a child's point of view. These poems emphasize the many conflicting feelings of happiness, disappointment and fear during formative years. The importance of family ties and faith are exemplified as pointers in making decisions affecting interpersonal relationships. "Ordinary Girl" is about a wheelchair bound girl whose young neighbor will have nothing to do with her. "Broccoli" tells about a small boy who does not like vegetables but who eventually understands that by eating them he will become strong and healthy. "My Little Brother" tells of a young lad whose little brother tags along everywhere he goes but the boy soon realizes that he is setting an important example for his sibling. "Our House" explains how a girl from a very large family has to share even a bed with her sisters, and how she is waiting for their ship to come in. The book also includes poetry regarding the important role grandparents play in a child's life. It is the desire of the author that your child will find comfort and understanding in the growing and learning process of his or her life in these short poems. Two of the author's grandchildren have brittle bone disease therefore some of the proceeds of this book will benefit the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation.

Book Planetary Purpose Come Grow with Me

Download or read book Planetary Purpose Come Grow with Me written by Parsippany Bea and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2023-02-20 with total page 95 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Planetary Purpose is a series of small childrens books reflecting upon childhood growth and development. As an educator, I have witnessed many children with worry and fear; as, Markus the box turtle exhibits in this series. These playful characters are all personified by those I have come to teach and meet throughout decades of experiences. Elephant Blue, a bumble bee, the butterfly or a banana tree each have a story to tell. Each character has an emotional conflict and a resolution for continuing their individual growth. To understand our anxieties and feelings are true. To allow patience and forgiveness upon ourselves is evident. We have a planetary purpose as writers and creators to educate. Allowing families to feel we are all safe, trusted and are all exploring at our own pace and rates. Through these series, the books will grow as our children. We will continue to add stages of development throughout childhood into adolescence. The storytelling will grow with your children. As a writer, there will always be another story to tell, another mountain to climb or ocean to change within the tides. Enjoy, God bless and thank you for reading to children. Love, Parsippany Bea.

Book excerpt: Moving, Personal Accounts of God's Love from 12 Noted Leaders The Church is known for many things. Love is not usually one of them. Is it possible to show a hungry world the kind of love the Bible promises? Here are candid stories from twelve respected leaders in the renewal today, promising us that the agape love of God is strongly at work--if we are willing to be vulnerable for his honor. Jesus challenges us to let him pour out his love through willing vessels. These remarkable stories inspire us to become outlets of the love through which Jesus will change the world. Contributors are Heidi Baker, Stacey Campbell, Mahesh Chavda, James W. Goll, Joan Hunter, Harry R. Jackson Jr., Patricia King, James Maloney, Jackie Pullinger, Mickey Robinson, Doug Stringer, and Barbara Yoder.

Book Ggg

  • Author : Michelle Prewett
  • Publisher : Xlibris Corporation
  • Release : 2017-03-23
  • ISBN : 1524549762
  • Pages : 228 pages

Download or read book Ggg written by Michelle Prewett and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2017-03-23 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have arranged this book in such a way as to divide it into categories so that the reader will get the maximum benefit and experience of it. First, the enormous grief and pain during times of betrayal, divorce, and broken homes that affect all members of the family. This first part of grief highly focuses on relationships where there is dysfunction and abuse and, overall, love that has been lost. Volume Two will focus on issues of struggle with time and with money issues that we face in this life such as death, the overall character of the man, his body, his talents, his gifts, and where Jesus comes in to place in his life. Issues of morality, the world, and justice are also touched upon. Heroes and the thirst for righteousness as well as overall prayers and supplications to the Almighty will be addressed in the second volume. There will also be prayers and short poems that are brief but, in their brevity, stress a main point. Finally, in the third volume of glory, this will be a collection and compilation of current events and all-time favorites of the poet’s choosing, representing the mastery, skill, and talent that has been bestowed on the writer. One’s senses will be heightened and enlightened with effortless enjoyment experienced by the reader. It is highly advised that the reader purchase all three volumes to get the maximum effect of the whole process so they can better relate to each poem. The reader will be taken upon a journey first of betrayal, love lost, sorrow, and death, and in a sense, dying to oneself. The next volume will focus on encouragement and prayers, even though one does not understand why they are going on their specific journey. The grace in volume two cannot be denied and can only be dealt once the grief is experienced. It is so blatant that it seems to jump off the pages with healing power. And, finally, volume three is the pinnacle of God’s glory demonstrated by a compilation of all-time favorites chosen by the poet herself as well as all the troubling current events that are occurring in the world at this time. It is my desire that the persons reading this compilation of poems focus on all of the volumes because each has immense beauty and meaning. It is for this reason that it would be my honor and desire that you purchase all three to get the maximum benefit of the process, keeping the end result in mind.

Book The ScreamBed Chronicles

Download or read book The ScreamBed Chronicles written by Ari Meier and published by Viori Publishing. This book was released on 2013 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ScreamBed Chronicles is a book of essays and poetry. The essays chronicle different relationships and other intimate encounters from the author's past. Some of the essays deal with the author's earlier days as a cheating man whore, the dynamics of interracial relationships, avoiding love and commitment while getting as much sex as possible among others. Several women were interviewed in one essay about their cheating experiences as a reminder to guys in denial about how good woman cheat when they do. The poetry is scattered throughout the book and their themes range from love, sex and the erotic. Some men will find the tone of this book disturbing, maybe because of a perceived assault on "male values" or that the author is pandering to women as a doorway to getting them; but the many men who are great husbands and boyfriends will not be offended by the straight talk about men's behaviors in relationships.

Book Where Great Powers Meet

Download or read book Where Great Powers Meet written by David Shambaugh and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2020-11-01 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After the end of the Cold War, it seemed as if Southeast Asia would remain a geopolitically stable region within the American-led order for the foreseeable future. In the last two decades, however, the re-emergence of China as a major great power has called into question the geopolitical future of the region and raised the specter of renewed great power competition. As the eminent China scholar David Shambaugh explains in Where Great Powers Meet, the United States and China are engaged in a broad-gauged and global competition for power. While this competition ranges across the entire world, it is centered in Asia. In this book, Shambaugh focuses on the critical sub-region of Southeast Asia. The United States and China constantly vie for position and influence across this enormously significant area--and the outcome of this contest will do much to determine whether Asia leaves the American orbit after seven decades and falls into a new Chinese sphere of influence. Just as importantly, to the extent that there is a global "power transition" occurring from the US to China, the fate of Southeast Asia will be a good indicator. Presently, both powers bring important assets to bear in their competition. The United States continues to possess a depth and breadth of security ties, soft power, and direct investment across the region that empirically outweigh China's. For its part, China has more diplomatic influence, much greater trade, and geographic proximity. In assessing the likelihood of a regional power transition, Shambaugh examines how ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and its member states maneuver and the degree to which they align with one or the other power.
