Book Digital Watermarking and Steganography

Download or read book Digital Watermarking and Steganography written by Ingemar Cox and published by Morgan Kaufmann. This book was released on 2007-11-23 with total page 623 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Digital audio, video, images, and documents are flying through cyberspace to their respective owners. Unfortunately, along the way, individuals may choose to intervene and take this content for themselves. Digital watermarking and steganography technology greatly reduces the instances of this by limiting or eliminating the ability of third parties to decipher the content that he has taken. The many techiniques of digital watermarking (embedding a code) and steganography (hiding information) continue to evolve as applications that necessitate them do the same. The authors of this second edition provide an update on the framework for applying these techniques that they provided researchers and professionals in the first well-received edition. Steganography and steganalysis (the art of detecting hidden information) have been added to a robust treatment of digital watermarking, as many in each field research and deal with the other. New material includes watermarking with side information, QIM, and dirty-paper codes. The revision and inclusion of new material by these influential authors has created a must-own book for anyone in this profession. This new edition now contains essential information on steganalysis and steganography New concepts and new applications including QIM introduced Digital watermark embedding is given a complete update with new processes and applications

Book Performance Evaluation of Color Image Watermarking

Download or read book Performance Evaluation of Color Image Watermarking written by Patil Ramana Reddy and published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing. This book was released on 2011-12 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The growth of the digital multimedia technology and development of the internet allow people to process, deliver and store information more easily. Digital images can be easily captured by digital cameras and due to ease of network connectivity, the access and sharing of images has become extremely feasible and convenient. Copyright protection of these images can be done by using digital image watermarking, watermarking is embedding a identification logo into cover image for its protection. Most of the existing image watermarking techniques is implemented for grey scale images, in this book attempt has been made to use existing grey scale watermarking techniques for color images. Four types of watermarking techniques are presented in this book, i.e. (1) Spread spectrum and correlation (2) Modified wavelet tree quantization (MWTQ) (3) Integer wavelet transforms (IWT) (4) Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT). The wavelet let transform is applied to blue plane of color image to embed the watermark. Performance of these techniques is evaluated in terms of PSNR, MSE, NCC, BCR, ET and RT. The techniques are performing well with and without attacks.

  • ISBN : 9783659299360
  • Pages : 148 pages

Download or read book Watermark Applications written by Ali Kadhim Mousa and published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing. This book was released on 2012 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, three novel methods for color image watermarking were suggested, they don't require the original image for watermark extraction. These methods exploit the discrete wavelet transforms features. Different schemes of wavelet decompositions with various transform combinations were tested. The first suggested method can be used for owner identification, proof of ownership, and transactional watermarks (fingerprinting). The second was oriented to embed the watermark such that it is capable to survive against the high degree of compression produced by JPEG2000, the watermark was fully extracted under high degree of compression ratio. The third suggested method of watermark can be used for covert communication (a method of sending secret messages). Here, a general method is developed for embedding and extraction hidden message without need to know the key, as well as with the absence of source image. Finally, the perceptual impact of watermark is studied, to find the most suitable color model for the application of image watermarking. The considered color transforms are those commonly used in digital image processing applications these color models are RGB, YUV, YIQ, YCbCr and RCT

Book Color Image Watermarking Based on Radon Transform and Jordan Decomposition

Download or read book Color Image Watermarking Based on Radon Transform and Jordan Decomposition written by Pranab Kumar Dhar and published by . This book was released on 2020 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Digital watermarking has been widely used for ownership identification and copyright protection. In this chapter, a color image watermarking method based on Radon transform (RT) and Jordan decomposition (JD) is proposed. Initially, the host color image is converted into L*a*b* color space. Then, the b* channel is selected and it is divided into 16 × 16 non-overlapping blocks. RT is applied to each of these blocks. JD is applied to the selected RT coefficients of each block represented in m × n matrix. Watermark data is embedded in the coefficients of the similarity transform matrix obtained from JD using a new quantization equation. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method is highly robust against various attacks such as noise addition, cropping, filtering, blurring, rotation, JPEG compression etc. In addition, it provides high quality watermarked images. Moreover, it shows superior performance than the state-of-the-art methods reported recently in terms of imperceptibility and robustness.
