Download or read book Cold Noses II Examining More Evidence written by Gary Kurz and published by . This book was released on 2001-05-01 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In"Cold Noses II, Examining More Evidence", Gary Kurz picks up right where he left off with his previous book, "Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates." Applying his more than 20,000 hours of formal and personal Bible study, the author compassionately addresses all Biblical evidence concerning animal afterlife, decisively examines the credibility of claims of paranormal experiences concerning departed pets, and provides inspirational and revolutionary insight into several associated topics important to more than 170 million pet owners in the United States. The author establishes his own expertise and credibility in the field by applying qualitative interpretive skills that gives the reader undeniable proof from the Bible for the conclusions he draws. Additionally, exhibiting a flare for vividly illustrating points, the author inspires readers to think outside the box on issues that are important to all of us. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to have a sound foundation on which to base their personal beliefs concerning the fate of their pets, for anyone who wants to know the facts.

Book We Will See Our Pets In Heaven

Download or read book We Will See Our Pets In Heaven written by Brian Burgess and published by Outskirts Press. This book was released on 2013-08-22 with total page 86 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Biblical Evidence That Animals Really Do Go To Heaven. If you have pets or are grieving the loss of a pet then you must read this book. We love our pets and they love us. They become part of the family and it is painful when we have to say goodbye, however, you will be comforted to know that they are not gone forever as many people would believe. Inside this book you will get a glimpse of what heaven will be like and you will see that God loves and cares for his animals and there is indeed a place for them in heaven. In this book you will learn that animals are innocent and are not in need of salvation and that it was never our Heavenly Father' desire that we or his animals would suffer death. The pets that we had to say goodbye to are alive in heaven right now in their spiritual bodies and we will see them again if we accept Jesus as our Savior. Your Pet Is Not Gone Forever. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. I've had the pleasure of caring for many pets throughout my life and I am grief stricken every time one of them passes away. Dealing with the loss of a pet is difficult, especially when you've been taught as a child and led to believe throughout the years by misinformed people such as parents, family, and friends that they are gone forever and that you'll never see them again. After losing my Black Lab back in December 2009 and then my Golden Retriever in 2011 I decided to find out for myself what the Bible had to say about the subject. What I found out was very comforting and I know you will be comforted too when you read this book.

Book Minimum Deterrence Examining the Evidence

Download or read book Minimum Deterrence Examining the Evidence written by Keith B. Payne and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2016-04-14 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The National Institute for Public Policy’s new book, Minimum Deterrence: Examining the Evidence, is the first of its kind. Dr. Keith Payne, former Secretary of Defense James Schlesinger and an unparalleled bipartisan group of senior civilian and military experts critically examine eight basic assumptions of Minimum Deterrence against available evidence. In general, Minimum Deterrence does not fare well under the careful scrutiny. Proponents of a "Minimum Deterrent" US nuclear force posture believe that anywhere from a handful to a few hundred nuclear weapons are adequate to deter reliably and predictably any enemy from attacking the United States now and in the future. Because nuclear weapons are so destructive, their thinking goes, no foreign leader would dare challenge US capabilities. The benefits, advocates claim, of reducing US nuclear weapons to the "minimum" level needed are: better relations with Russia and China, reinforcement of the arms control and Nonproliferation Treaty, billions of defense dollars in savings, and greater international stability on the way to "nuclear zero." As political pressure builds to pursue this vision of minimum US deterrence, Minimum Deterrence: Examining the Evidence stands as the seminal study to address the many claims of great benefit using available evidence. This book was published as a special issue of Comparative Strategy.

Book Evidence Based Diagnosis in Primary Care

Download or read book Evidence Based Diagnosis in Primary Care written by Paul Glasziou and published by Elsevier Health Sciences. This book was released on 2012-01-04 with total page 535 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: British Medical Association Book Awards 2009 - First Prize Winner, Primary Care Category Evidence-Based Diagnosis in Primary Care provides guidance on diagnosis in general practice, from the patient’s first presentation with a symptom to the final establishment of a diagnosis or referral for further investigation. The book is divided into two parts: • Symptoms; which details the steps necessary to reach a provisional diagnosis when a patient presents; and • Disorders; in which the more detailed assessment of that initial diagnosis is described. This is the first book to be written about diagnosis in primary care that attempts to base its guidance on the research evidence. Enough information is provided on each symptom, or condition, to decide on the pre-test probability of each possible disorder, and how the symptoms, signs and investigations alter those probabilities to allow a conclusion to be reached about the most likely diagnosis. Evidence-Based Diagnosis in Primary Care also explains the principles of evidence-based diagnosis – with special emphasis on the issues raised by attempting an evidence-based approach in primary care – and clearly demonstrates the power, and the difficulties, of an evidence-based approach. Many chapters also feature ‘red flags’ – elements of the history or examination that should alert the practitioner to the possibility of serious disease, which is vital for general practice.
