The total production of the district for the year ended. June was tons or per cent of the total production of the State during the year. The coal mined by machines in District V totaled tons, per cent of the total production of the district. A direct result of undercutting such a large percentage is the use of less powder. The pro duction of the district is per cent of the coal output of the State. For the year ended June 30, 1912, only kegs of powder, per cent of the powder used in the State, were used in the district. There were tons of coal gained for each keg of powder used.
