Book All the Feels Tous les sens

Download or read book All the Feels Tous les sens written by Marie Carrière and published by University of Alberta. This book was released on 2021-02-26 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All the Feels / Tous les sens presents research into emotion and cognition in Canadian, Indigenous, and Québécois writings in English or French. Affect is both internal and external, private and public; with its fluid boundaries, it represents a productive dimension for literary analysis. The emerging field of affect studies makes vital claims about ethical impulses, social justice, and critical resistance, and thus much is at stake when we adopt affective reading practices. The contributors ask what we can learn from reading contemporary literatures through this lens. Unique and timely, readable and teachable, this collection is a welcome resource for scholars of literature, feminism, philosophy, and transnational studies as well as anyone who yearns to imagine the world differently. Contributors: Nicole Brossard, Marie Carrière, Matthew Cormier, Kit Dobson, Nicoletta Dolce, Louise Dupré, Margery Fee, Ana María Fraile-Marcos, Smaro Kamboureli, Aaron Kreuter, Daniel Laforest, Carmen Mata Barreiro, Ursula Mathis-Moser, Heather Milne, Eric Schmaltz, Maïté Snauwaert, Jeanette den Toonder

Book Coll F Le fait culturel en classe de FLE Ebook

This book was released on 2021-02-26 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 1998-12-31T23:00:00+01:00 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book L interculturel travers le multim dia dans l enseignement du fran ais langue trang re written by RIVERO VILA, Isabel and published by Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca. This book was released on 2014-12-01 with total page 688 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The objective of our research has been to promote intercultural analysis from the target language and culture in Francophone film sequences. These film sequences have allowed us to expose the learner to intercultural aspects of language and Francophone cultures . We aim to develop intercultural skills of the learner from engaging teaching units, also available on our website. We have created a teaching approach where intercultural communication anticipates the situations; locates the communicative interferences; develops cultural and linguistic skills and promotes intercultural dialogue based on representative sequences on day-to-day Francophone life. Thus, we have created and also developed existing approaches in teaching French as a foreign language ( actionnelle approche , input structuré , lexiculture , etc). Finally, with this research we wanted to respond to the current lack in educational publishing : the teaching of the language - culture in French as a foreign language (FLE) based in Francophone multiculturalism represented in current Francophone movies. We consider Francophone multiculturalism as an essential element in teaching FLE since it allows to train our learners both in a sociocultural and linguistic level so that they can participate fully in the Francophone world

Book Digital Resources Creativity and Innovative Methodologies in Language Teaching and Learning

Download or read book Digital Resources Creativity and Innovative Methodologies in Language Teaching and Learning written by Adriana Teresa Damascelli and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2017-06-20 with total page 516 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The concept of university language centres has changed in recent decades. Initially conceived as laboratories for practical and autonomous language-learning, they are now considered as places with more specific and complex functions in language teaching and learning. University language centres now constitute networks for exchanging knowledge and know-how in order to respond to ever-changing, multilingual and multicultural contexts. At the same time, the availability and acquisition of new technologies is contributing to the creation of new tools for the provision of appropriate services and training. This collection covers a wide range of topics related to the activities, experiences and applied research carried out in Italian university language centres. It provides further evidence of the important role university language centres play in promoting language expertise, developing tools and adopting digital resources, and providing support and training for language teaching. Technology, creativity, methodologies and plurilingualism are key topics in the book as they constitute the essential ingredients for effective and successful language teaching and learning. The volume’s thirty-three chapters provide multi-perspective approaches, showing how the real contexts of current language education need the integration of theoretical backgrounds with the best practices resulting from practical experience.

Book Translanguaging as Transformation

Download or read book Translanguaging as Transformation written by Emilee Moore and published by Multilingual Matters. This book was released on 2020-05-12 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines translanguaging as a resource which can disrupt the privileging of particular voices, and a social practice which enables collaboration within and across groups of people. Addressing the themes of collaboration and transformation, the chapters critically examine how people work together to catalyse change in diverse global contexts, experiences and traditions. The authors suggest an epistemological and methodological turn to the study of translanguaging, which is particularly reflected in the collaborative, arts-based and action research/activist approaches followed in the chapters. The book will be of particular interest to scholars using ethnographic, critical and collaborative action and activist research approaches to the study of multilingualism in educational and creative arts contexts.
