But in many instances large blooms of first-class quality are coveted for conservatory decoration at home, and in all cases, if the right methods be not adopted, such blooms are not forthcoming, notwithstanding all the labour which may have been bestowed upon the plants to bring about that result. We have endeavoured to give in this book what we consider the most important essentials (which wehave found to be absolutely necessary in our own practical experience) in the routine of culture and general management of the plants and flowers, in as few words as possible.
