Book Canadian Table of Frequency Allocations 9 KHz to 275 GHz

Download or read book Canadian Table of Frequency Allocations 9 KHz to 275 GHz written by Canada. Telecommunications Policy Branch and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 150 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This Canadian Table of Frequency Allocations allocates the electromagnetic spectrum between 9 kHz and 275 GHz (275 - 400 GHz is unallocated at this time) and is based on the provisions of the Final Acts resulting from the various World Administrative Radio Conferences (WARC), including the 1992 WARC, convened by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The Canadian Table is intended to respond to Canadian domestic spectrum requirements. Consequently, it reflects the Department of Industry's spectrum allocation and utilization policies developed through public consultation. The Canadian Table includes the revisions made to the frequency allocations in October 1994. It should be noted, therefore, that the Canadian Table differs, where necessary, from the ITU Table"--Foreword.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents the fundamentals of wireless communications and services, explaining in detail what RF spectrum management is, why it is important, which are the authorities regulating the use of spectrum, and how is it managed and enforced at the international, regional and national levels. The book offers insights to the engineering, regulatory, economic, legal, management policy-making aspects involved. Real-world case studies are presented to depict the various approaches in different countries, and valuable lessons are drawn. The topics are addressed by engineers, advocates and economists employed by national and international spectrum regulators. The book is a tool that will allow the international regional and national regulators to better manage the RF spectrum, and will help operators and suppliers of wireless communications to better understand their regulators.

Book Pervasive Mobile and Ambient Wireless Communications

Download or read book Pervasive Mobile and Ambient Wireless Communications written by Roberto Verdone and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-01-02 with total page 696 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pervasive Mobile and Ambient Wireless Communications reports the findings of COST 2100, a project of the European intergovernmental COST framework addressing various topics currently emerging in mobile and wireless communications. Drawing on experience developed in this and earlier COST projects, the text represents the final outcome of collaborative work involving more than 500 researchers in 140 institutions and 30 countries (including outside Europe). The book’s subject matter includes: transmission techniques; signal processing; radio channel modelling and measurement; radio network issues; and recent paradigms including ultra-wideband, cooperative, vehicle-to-vehicle and body communications. The research reported comes from a variety of backgrounds: academic, equipment-manufacturing and operational and the information contained in this book will bring the study reported to a wider audience from all those spheres of work. Pervasive Mobile and Ambient Wireless Communications will be of interest to researchers for its cutting-edge analysis and to practitioners for its functional usability.

Book Handbook of Frequency Allocations and Spectrum Protection for Scientific Uses

Download or read book Handbook of Frequency Allocations and Spectrum Protection for Scientific Uses written by National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and published by National Academies Press. This book was released on 2015-11-02 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The electromagnetic spectrum is a vital part of our environment. Measures of radio frequency emissions from natural phenomena enable both practical applications, such as weather predictions and studies of the changing of Earth's climate here at home, and reveal the physical properties of cosmic sources. The spectrum is therefore a resource to be used wisely now and to be protected for future generations. Handbook of Frequency Allocations and Spectrum Protection for Scientific Uses: Second Edition sets forth the principles for the allocation and protection of spectral bands for services using the radio spectrum for scientific research. This report describes the radio frequency bands used by scientific services and includes relevant regulatory information and discussion of scientific use of frequency bands. This reference will guide spectrum managers and spectrum regulatory bodies on science issues and serve as a resource to scientists and other spectrum users.
