Both educational and economic considerations demand a region of diversified farming, giving promise of a variety of experience and fairly continuous work throughout the season. As a matter of educational consideration moreover, it is of no small importance that the city youth shall have as his initial experience of country life a community where farm life and conditions may be seen to good advantage, where life is fairly prosperous, enterprising, American. Another factor of great importance must always be the initial attitude of the farm community toward the camp.
