Book Healing Begins in the Heart

Download or read book Healing Begins in the Heart written by Karen A. Mace and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2014-10-28 with total page 163 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you feel that God has abandoned you? Do you struggle with fear and grief? Are you weighed down with doubt, anger, or depression? Do you wonder if you can really trust God? You are not alone. For eight years, author Karen A. Mace and her husband, Ross, served as missionaries in South America. Blessed with the joy of doing Gods work they brought their two daughters Miriam and Sarah with them and rejoiced in the birth of their third daughter Ileana soon after arriving in Ecuador. God tested Karen and Ross more than most of His soldiers. After the deaths of Ileana and Sarah in Ecuador, just three and twelve at the time, Karen was thrown into a crisis of faith that lasted for years. She understands how even the most faithful can stumble and question and reject the love of the Lord. Healing Begins in the Heart, Karen shares how God found her in her doubt. God exposed the lies that Karen had once believed. He showed her how deception created the false lens through which she saw God. As she grew in knowledge of Gods loving care, she came to see the life transforming truth of who God really is and the freedom that is hers through all that Jesus has done. An open and honest sharing of Karens trials, tragedies, and ultimate victories, this is a story about Gods grace, His perseverance with us, and His desire for an intimate relationship with us that leads us into the good plans and purposes He has for each one of us.

Book Beyond the Shallow How Suffering Led Me to the Deep End of Grace

Download or read book Beyond the Shallow How Suffering Led Me to the Deep End of Grace written by Michelle Bates and published by . This book was released on 2019-11-11 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: See the lavish grace of Jesus's love for you... As Christians, we commonly portray grace as something that comes to us in the form of a paycheck and healthy bodies. By wading into the deep end of suffering, I have learned that God's grace is much more evident in the mire and dung of life. Amid deep pain and suffering, I found myself at the grace-filled cross where his glory is revealed in the unseen as I struggle with what is transient. Michelle grew up in church and believed in what she calls Christian karma: Do good, get good. She adopted this unspoken mantra during her teen and young adult years and even into her early married life. But when suffering came to her door, she returned to the Scripture to learn the truth of the gospel. She learned to see grace through the loss of expectation and the loss of three of her six children. As you read this book, Michelle's hope is that you will see the lavish grace of Jesus's love for you, and-if you are walking through immense suffering-that you will understand Jesus is most certainly enough.

Book Healing From A Grace Perspective

Download or read book Healing From A Grace Perspective written by Sonja Parham and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2020-03-09 with total page 51 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hear And Be Healed! Do you or someone you know need healing in your physical body? If you are a born-again believer, Jesus obtained your healing two thousand years ago. Healing is already on the inside of you. It was given to you by God's grace (God's undeserved favor). You didn't deserve it or couldn't earn it, God gave it to you as a gift through Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, most believers don't experience what Jesus has already done for them because of religion and tradition of men. Wrong believing has hindered believers from receiving healing and all the finished works of Jesus Christ. You have a blood-bought right because of Jesus's blood to walk in divine health, prosperity, soundness, and wholeness. This is a covenant right! In Healing from a Grace Perspective, you will learn how to apply the Word of God with precision and accuracy to get the healing on the inside of you to manifest on your physical body. No disease, to include cancer, can stand up to the Word of God when applied with aggressive faith and precision. Take your healing. It belongs to you! Jesus has given me the assignment of getting faith in the body of Christ for healing. Jesus said to me "if people will believe what you teach them and do it aggressively healing will come to them." Wrong Believing One of the greatest hindrances to receiving from God is wrong believing. Believing contrary to what the Scriptures says is a sure way of not receiving your healing. We have heard so much information that is not in agreement with the Scriptures. For example, if you believe that it's not God's will to heal everybody when the Bible clearly states "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 2, KJV), then Satan can talk you out of your healing. He can convince you that God won't heal you because of something you did or didn't do. This is why reading and studying the Word of God for yourself on a daily basis is so important. You must believe God wants you well and God by his grace has made healing available. Sinner's Prayer Say this prayer aloud with all your heart and Jesus will come to live on the inside of you. Father, Your word says according to Roman 10:9 if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart that God has raised him from the dead I will be saved. I renounce sin and ask Jesus to come into my heart now and be my Lord and Savior. I believe God raised him from the dead. I ask Jesus to fill me with the Holy Spirit. I declare that I am now born again. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Congratulations! You are now a born-again believer.

Download or read book Jesus Religion written by Jefferson Bethke and published by HarperChristian + ORM. This book was released on 2013-10-14 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abandon dead, dry, religious rule-keeping and embrace the promise of being truly known and deeply loved. Jefferson Bethke burst into the cultural conversation with a passionate, provocative poem titled "Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus." The 4-minute video became an overnight sensation, with 7 million YouTube views in its first 48 hours (and 23+ million in a year). Bethke's message clearly struck a chord with believers and nonbelievers alike, triggering an avalanche of responses running the gamut from encouraged to enraged. In his New York Times bestseller Jesus > Religion, Bethke unpacks similar contrasts that he drew in the poem--highlighting the difference between teeth gritting and grace, law and love, performance and peace, despair, and hope. With refreshing candor, he delves into the motivation behind his message, beginning with the unvarnished tale of his own plunge from the pinnacle of a works-based, fake-smile existence that sapped his strength and led him down a path of destructive behavior. Along the way, Bethke gives you the tools you need to: Humbly and prayerfully open your mind Understand Jesus for all that he is View the church from a brand-new perspective Bethke is quick to acknowledge that he's not a pastor or theologian, but simply an ordinary, twenty-something who cried out for a life greater than the one for which he had settled. On this journey, Bethke discovered the real Jesus, who beckoned him with love beyond the props of false religion. Praise for Jesus > Religion: "Jeff's book will make you stop and listen to a voice in your heart that may have been drowned out by the noise of religion. Listen to that voice, then follow it--right to the feet of Jesus." --Bob Goff, author of New York Times bestsellers Love Does and Everybody, Always "The book you hold in your hands is Donald Miller's Blue Like Jazz meets C. S. Lewis's Mere Christianity meets Augustine's Confessions. This book is going to awaken an entire generation to Jesus and His grace." --Derwin L. Gray, lead pastor of Transformation Church, author of Limitless Life: Breaking Free from the Labels That Hold You Back

Book The God of Second Chances

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A second chance . . . all of us have needed one at some point in our lives. As children, we beg our parents to give us "just one more chance." As adults, we turn our pleadings to God for another opportunity, just to start over again. In this revised and updated version of The God of Second Chances, author Stephen Arterburn takes us through his own journey of pleasure-seeking and ambition to a life-changing encounter with the reality of God's grace. Arterburn is painfully honest, sharing his personal experiences with sexual immorality that culminated in the abortion of his child. It was then, desperate and at the end of himself, that Arterburn cried out to God for a second chance. Through his willingness to share his struggles, Arterburn helps us to confront our failures and reach out for God's restorative touch. With a gentle humor, he encourages us to look beyond ourselves and discover the joy in serving others and investing in the things that really matter. In doing so, we will learn what it is to be restored to God through unconditional surrender and receive healing from the scars left by our own mistakes.

Download or read book Reflections of God s Grace written by Sharon Purdum Harkness and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2017-12-26 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book reveals so many miracles that God has shown me and my family during the passing of our parents. The miracle that stands out the most, is the morning when my mother went to Heaven. At that moment, the room was filled with the radiant sunlight and loving warmth, which I have never experienced before. The room seemed to be in grandeur ,so much that I fell to my knees in praise. I felt, as if I were in the presence of God, Almighty. I was filled with great joy and horrific sorrow, at the same time. I wanted to share with my family the beautiful sun shining in the room, so I took a photo of the window. A few days later, I saw what looked to be God, opening the Heavenly realms, for us to see. What we saw took us by amazement. It was an angel by my mother's side, comforting her, and little glowing beings above her, as to protect her from evil that was in the atmosphere. Luke16:22 tells us, how God sends the angels to escort us to Heaven. To this day, God has placed his grace on me and my family that is, beyond all understanding. We know that it is not good-bye, but see you soon. We know mom and dad are in paradise today. To God be the glory!

Book excerpt: Once you realize that Jesus did not come to establish another religion but to give us a direct connection back to God, you will take a great step toward spiritual growth. David Copeland, who has done evangelism work and spent time in youth ministry, explains how to realign yourself with God. He also explores why so many people avoid walking in faith, choosing instead to continue a miserable—but comfortable—state of existence. At the core of the book is the author’s observation that our lives are being refined by God. By utilizing what he calls God’s healing process theory, he shares how to find hope and walk down a path that leads to spiritual transformation. GHP theory is a practical way of meeting people where they are and helping them to transition to where God desires. It does this by helping identify patterns, potential problems, and pitfalls that may have interfered with or hindered mental, physical, and spiritual areas of health, well-being, and growth. Join the author as he considers what God really wants for us, how to respond to life with love instead of fear, and how to walk closer to the Lord.

Book The Salvation Story

Download or read book The Salvation Story written by Mercy Ngwube and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2018 with total page 188 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Salvation Story is a book written with the intentions to make known God’s side of the story of grace for those who wish to explore the Christian faith. In the book, you will discover grace as the salvation offered to mankind by God through the blood sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ, a salvation which man does not deserve but has been offered because of the infinite love God feels toward mankind. The book explains to the reader how anyone, despite the sinful nature we all share, can be saved just by accepting the sacrifice Jesus Christ offered to the Father. In the book, faith takes on a deeper dimension as the author shares her personal struggles with kidney failure and how her deep-rooted belief that her personal relationship with God will carry her through her medical struggles. It is a book that shows the reader that their faith walk was never meant to be a bed of roses. Using Abraham’s faith walk as an example, the author has demonstrated that there will be obstacles along the way, but with our eyes firmly fixed on the Lord Jesus, He will lead us to our final destination—heaven. With a strong faith in God and desire to set our will aside and follow His commandments, the author implies that we can successfully resist the worldly temptations of sin and therefore live an abundant Christian life as Jesus promised those who will believe in Him in John 10:10.

Book excerpt: How can we be made well? From hurting bodies and souls to hurting relationships and communities, it’s clear that things are not as they should be. Some of us live with varying degrees of physical pain, and others of us harbor the emotional pain of loneliness, shame, and guilt. Looking at our culture more broadly, we see the harm of our social divisions and the unyielding reality and impact of injustice and inequity. The gospels brim with stories of Jesus healing people, but what does that mean for us today? In To Be Made Well, author Amy Julia Becker weaves together her own story with reflections on biblical accounts of Jesus’ healing work, providing fresh insight into both the nature of healing and the pathway to healing, then and now. This book is a powerful invitation to personal, spiritual, and social healing as we reconnect to our bodies and souls, to God, and to our communities. For anyone struggling with pain or loss, for anyone concerned about the things that divide us, this book goes beyond wellness and beyond miraculous physical transformations to explore how we can—personally and collectively—be made well.
