Book Leap of Perception

Download or read book Leap of Perception written by Penney Peirce and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2013-05-21 with total page 331 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intuition and transformation expert Penney Peirce helps you understand how a profound shift in perception can result in personal and societal transformation. She shows you how to develop the new “attention skills” that will allow you to thrive in the new Intuition Age. Building on the first two books in the Peirce’s Transformation series, Leap of Perception, with a foreword by Martha Beck, is a comprehensive guide to understanding—and navigating—the “paradigm shift.” The Information Age is accelerating to a point where life will soon make a “leap” into the Intuition Age, where the abilities of the analytical left brain balance with the vast intuitive wisdom and visionary capacity of the right brain. The resulting reality will function by different rules, and we’ll become a new kind of human being. We’ll live in a vast present moment, closer to the speed of light, aware of much more than we ever were before. You will learn to materialize the situations—and outcomes—you want, resolve conflict in relationships, expand your creativity, reduce exhaustion and anxiety from multitasking, ease fear caused by the transformation process, work with the collective unconscious, and develop new skills like telepathy, clairvoyance, applied empathy, rapid healing, and more.

  • Publisher : Vedat Yigitoglu
  • Release : 2020-04-05

Download or read book Game Value written by Vedat Yiğitoğlu and published by Vedat Yigitoglu. This book was released on 2020-04-05 with total page 183 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ‘Game’ as a term, implies the game beyond its meaning and expands on it. This work solidifies the idea that, in essence games are “a form of communication” between numerous planes of thought. As such along with their rising importance, it’s no longer sufficient for games to be investigated under any single discipline, instead requiring the subject to be investigated under a variety of disciplines. In this sense, while various other works on the nature of games have tried to draw their own borders; defining their own terminologies and methods, it had at times advanced forth in an almost purist fashion; each keeping close watch on their own wellestablished areas. However, in order to completely comprehend games and their inner-workings, an inter-disciplinary approach is a necessity. in this work, “games” are being investigated in its anthropocosmological meaning, and as a form of new media. Language games, digital games, and topics like gamification are taken into account in a uniformed sense, by a variety of thinkers who are qualified as game philosophers, each with their own area expertise.

Book Mind and Cosmos

Download or read book Mind and Cosmos written by Thomas Nagel and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2012-11-22 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The modern materialist approach to life has conspicuously failed to explain such central mind-related features of our world as consciousness, intentionality, meaning, and value. This failure to account for something so integral to nature as mind, argues philosopher Thomas Nagel, is a major problem, threatening to unravel the entire naturalistic world picture, extending to biology, evolutionary theory, and cosmology. Since minds are features of biological systems that have developed through evolution, the standard materialist version of evolutionary biology is fundamentally incomplete. And the cosmological history that led to the origin of life and the coming into existence of the conditions for evolution cannot be a merely materialist history, either. An adequate conception of nature would have to explain the appearance in the universe of materially irreducible conscious minds, as such. Nagel's skepticism is not based on religious belief or on a belief in any definite alternative. In Mind and Cosmos, he does suggest that if the materialist account is wrong, then principles of a different kind may also be at work in the history of nature, principles of the growth of order that are in their logical form teleological rather than mechanistic. In spite of the great achievements of the physical sciences, reductive materialism is a world view ripe for displacement. Nagel shows that to recognize its limits is the first step in looking for alternatives, or at least in being open to their possibility.
