Part of the Kunstakademie collection was burnt in the fire of March, 1872; but one good picture, Rubens's Assumption of the Virgin, was saved, and there is also an interesting collection of drawings and engravings, amounting to 14,250 specimens, among which arc many by Raphael, M.
