Roger/Blue Knight never turned away from a challenge and he behaved no differently during his sojourn to an island known for its tropical splendor and ... LAVA!

Roger from Nebraska and friend Ned from Chicago team up with Robert from Portland to thwart the gangsters from Seattle. Along the way Ned, Roger, and Roger's alternate superhero identity, Blue Knight, are treated to tours of Portland and western Oregon.

Going to New York was the fulfillment of long held dreams ... second only to his dreams of knights of old. He also had dreams of Hawaii but realized it was foolish to think that three in a row could come true. (Oh, if he only knew ... check Episode IV.)

So, he often used the Vision Panel to scan crime scene's in progress, decided which ones had priority and hoped he made the right judgments. First, he went to where a life or lives appeared to be in danger. He also rushed from one scene to another. Blue Knight especially enjoyed days when he foiled all offenses. Chicago's crime leaders, such as Ivan, the head of the Russian Mafia, hated Blue Knight's encroachment on their activities. Ivan's primary goal became elimination of the armored hero forever. The crime boss had the advantage of surprise attacks against Superhero conducted in secret by the Russian Mafia. Ivan believed he could carry out one deception after another until something worked.

Seeking to lose him self in this release, he looks for a book on knights in 'The Food for The Mind' bookstore. He is drawn to an unusual looking volume, titled Knights by I. M. Merlin. Upon opening the book, he is startled by a rising cloud of red smoke and the emergence of a wizard's head. "So, you want to be a knight!" the wizard booms. Astonished, Roger struggles to gather himself together and questions if it is possible. Somewhat impatiently the wizard confirms that it is...if Roger is made of the right stuff. He asks Roger if he is willing to take an oath accepting the responsibility of knighthood with all that it entails. Putting his fears of the unknown aside, "I will!" Roger responds. As instructed, he vows to uphold the knight code of conduct ever after. He will do what is necessary to protect mankind...from harm and with honor and justice for all. He will vanquish evil in all its forms and wherever it is found. The commitment made, the wizard dubs Roger in the name of his alternate identity, Blue Knight, an armored champion with special powers. Roger has found his destiny. Part One continues with Roger experiencing one surprise after another as he is exposed to the special capabilities that have been bestowed on Blue Knight. Finally in Part One, Blue Knight is challenged to use his special powers for the first time in a daring rescue attempt. A small plane has crashed into Chicago's Sears Tower and is lodged precariously in an upper floor's windows. Blue Knight is challenged to save the plane's passengers and to safely remove the wreckage. In Part Two, thefts of some of the world's most important sculptures are brought home to Roger/Blue Knight in Chicago in a big way. After the Civic Center Plaza Picasso disappears, The Artiste identifies himself as the perpetrator of this and the other thefts. Artiste advises that the stolen works of art can be ransomed if Chicago and the countries wanting their return comply with his demands. Otherwise Artiste threatens to destroy the sculptures and send the remaining rubble to the bottom of Lake Michigan. Anticipating Blue Knight's pursuit of him, The Artiste implement's a specially prepared trap, which is successful in capturing the superhero. Blue Knight escapes but the wily Artiste outmaneuvers Blue at every turn. Further complicating the knight's efforts is the possible discovery at Rosie's rooming house that Roger is Blue Knight. In the end, Blue Knight succeeds in returning the sculptures undamaged to the places from which they had been taken but The Artiste pulls off one final trick.

Roger is one who does not shy away from making important decisions. It's not surprising that he resolves to leave Rosie's Rooming House. The longer he is there, the greater is the likelihood of Rosie's being linked to Blue Knight. He cannot risk the safety of the other roomers and Rosie. Roger proceeds with the move unaware it is taking place on the same day as Tony's court sentencing. The situation shifts into high gear when escaping Capone uses hostages to hold back police. The already tense pursuit heightens as Tony warns off the followers. Roger and his friend Ned are shocked to learn what is happening. They immediately put the move on hold and give themselves over to apprehending Capone. However, Tony's poorly thought-out getaway zigs and zags as he continuously adjusts the direction of his escape.
