Book Blind Trust With Open Eyes

Download or read book Blind Trust With Open Eyes written by Dinor Adam V. Levi and published by Dinor Adam V. Levi. This book was released on with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This book pulls the curtain back to give you an inside look into the telecom industry and how everyone's desire for fraud protection caused them to flock to EMS." "Very good book - some may not relate but if you are in the telecom industry a must read as this was probably not the only fraudulent activity!" The rise and fall of a telecom titan narrated from the eye of the storm On Friday September 9th 2011, EMS, one of the most prominent financial clearing houses in the global telecommunication reseller market place, was brought to its knees and it declared bankruptcy several months thereafter. This event shook the industry, crushing many small and medium-sized companies globally and dramatically reducing the amount of business transactions within the community. Although there were only a few weeks between the first public signs of collapse and the effective dismantling of the company, it is now clear that the cracks in the wall started to appear much earlier. They were disregarded and diminished due to the blind trust, confidence and loyalty that lay within and outside the company. As a telecommunications industry executive and as a client of EMS, but also as the silent partner in EMS who discovered these cracks, unveiled the truth and was forced to deal with all the subsequent legal and industrial actions, I present you with my account of what happened. It is my sincere attempt to address the many unanswered questions left by this overwhelming stream of events. This is the story of how my eyes were opened to the truth.

Book excerpt: Open Blind Eyes brings you face to face with the reality of sex trafficking in America through the true story viewpoint of a girl from a small town. Rachel was only nine years old when she was first approached by a perpetrator who was known to her as a teacher and coach. She goes into detail of the process of being groomed and how the evil of what was happening to her in the dark remained unseen by everyone around her. She describes how she coped for so many years by blocking out the memories only to have them resurface when she was an adult with a family of her own. Rachel had no idea that when she would pursue justice it would end up putting her right back in the world of trafficking. It wasn't until her church family saw the signs and believed what she was saying that she was able to start the process of finding freedom. Rachel shows her faith and love of God during the highs and lows of her journey and she prays for each person who reads her story. That their eyes will be opened and their actions will lead us toward ending sex trafficking in our world.

Book Eyes Wide Open

Download or read book Eyes Wide Open written by Isaac Lidsky and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2017-03-14 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this New York Times bestseller, Isaac Lidsky draws on his experience of achieving immense success, joy, and fulfillment while losing his sight to a blinding disease to show us that it isn’t external circumstances, but how we perceive and respond to them, that governs our reality. Fear has a tendency to give us tunnel vision—we fill the unknown with our worst imaginings and cling to what’s familiar. But when confronted with new challenges, we need to think more broadly and adapt. When Isaac Lidsky learned that he was beginning to go blind at age thirteen, eventually losing his sight entirely by the time he was twenty-five, he initially thought that blindness would mean an end to his early success and his hopes for the future. Paradoxically, losing his sight gave him the vision to take responsibility for his reality and thrive. Lidsky graduated from Harvard College at age nineteen, served as a Supreme Court law clerk, fathered four children, and turned a failing construction subcontractor into a highly profitable business. Whether we’re blind or not, our vision is limited by our past experiences, biases, and emotions. Lidsky shows us how we can overcome paralyzing fears, avoid falling prey to our own assumptions and faulty leaps of logic, silence our inner critic, harness our strength, and live with open hearts and minds. In sharing his hard-won insights, Lidsky shows us how we too can confront life's trials with initiative, humor, and grace.

Book Transactional Quantum Microphysics Principles and Applications

Download or read book Transactional Quantum Microphysics Principles and Applications written by Jacques Lavau and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2018-05-22 with total page 516 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Four characters debate the Transactional Quantum Microphysics. They throw twenty-one implicit, surreptitious postulates taught everywhere, and explicit ten transactional postulates as the new contract. They detail the geometry of the Fermat spindles of the individual waves, and carefully study the properties of the absorbers. With them you review many branches of the physics and the technology, now reunified in many experimental results. Innovations: individual waves, absorbers, transactions, de-Broglie-Dirac ground noise, thorough use of the de Broglie and Dirac-Schrödinger intrinsic frequencies, analysis of the conditions of the spectral absorptions. A thorough study of the optics of the eye is among the definitive proofs of the soundness of the Transactional Quantum Microphysics: an astigmatic eye sees the same illumination and the same colors, though the absorbing molecule is just 18 Å long. It proves that the old Newtonian causality is false: for a photon the emitter and the absorber are equally causal.

You also visit a psychiatrist who declares you suffer from some kind of phobia and puts you on heavy medications. These make you feel blurry and they simply mask the problem. So you're now stuck with an inexplicable headache and a medication that has far more side effects than benefits. This is a real-life, everyday scenario that so many patients go through because they hold blind trust in the medical establishment. There are several reasons why: Doctors are human and they make mistakes Medical professionals are often paid or stimulated in other ways to push one type of medicine or another Medical negligence and malpractice are real things - in the US alone, 250,000 people die each year from medical errors or negligence The medical industry is often run by greed and not the patient's best interest Organizational and staffing issues in medical facilities also contribute to problems It's time you take charge of your own health. You can stand against human errors, corruption, medical industry trends and fads that could be killing you or the people you love. Blind Trust in Doctors and Why It's Killing You will open your eyes and show you the main reasons why you need to be in complete control of the medical decisions that concern your wellbeing. The book will highlight essentials like: The power of Big Pharma - why Americans spend more than 3.34 billion dollars on prescription drugs per year Why we have been turned into clients rather than patients who need treatment The lies and deceit behind diets and weight loss programs The opioid crisis - commonly prescribed, these drugs kill 47,000 people per year Big lies about food, about exercise, about wellbeing - you'll find out why you should never go for the low-fat option The number one reason why cholesterol isn't the enemy Best ways to naturally lower your cancer risk Top 13 cancer-causing foods that you are still eating Antibiotics: over-prescribed and often ineffective And much more! The book will teach you how to control some of the most prominent health risks in natural, sustainable ways. Book The Living God and the Fullness of Life

Download or read book The Living God and the Fullness of Life written by Jürgen Moltmann and published by Westminster John Knox Press. This book was released on 2015-11-06 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Modern humanity has accepted a truncated, impoverished definition of life. Focusing solely on material realities, we have forgotten that joy, purpose, and meaning come from a life that is both immersed in the temporal and alive to the transcendent. We have, in other words, ceased to live in God. In this book, renowned theologian Jürgen Moltmann shows us what that life of joy and purpose looks like. Describing how we came to live in a world devoid of the ultimate, he charts a way back to an intimate connection with the biblical God. He counsels that we adopt a "theology of life," an orientation that sees God at work in both the mundane and the extraordinary and that pushes us to work for a world that fully reflects the life of its Creator. Moltmann offers a telling critique of the shallow values of consumerist society and provides a compelling rationale for why spiritual sensibilities and encounter with God must lie at the heart of any life that seeks to be authentically human.

It displays both similarities and differences between patriotism and nationalism, and considers the proposal of Habermas and others to disconnect the two. We’ve always been able to compartmentalize them and move on. Not our little brother. They all weighed on Jason. I was bred to take over my family’s mafia. Being the first born, it was something I knew was going to happen, but I didn’t expect it would as soon as it did. One fateful day that none of us will ever be able to forget or forgive. A day that changed all of our lives forever. The day that made Jason and Nick run from mafia life. A day all of my dreams came to a screeching halt. I’ve been thrust into a world both familiar and impossibly unfamiliar. I’m not just doing what my father says anymore. I’m not running missions. I’m leading them. I’m the boss. I’m the leader of one of the most powerful mafias in the entire world. And I’m not anywhere near ready. ~ This book is a steamy Coming of Age/College/Mafia Romance with cocky MMCs and sassy FMCs. It has dark and violent themes, kidnapping, and strong language that may not be suitable for all readers. ~
