God is on His time table and His ways are perfect...so, maybe just maybe the "unanswered prayers" can be "an answered prayer" all along. This book takes the reader on a journey inside the lives of regular everyday people who have shared their testimonies and circumstances revealing how an "unanswered prayer" was in fact truly a blessing in disguise. Read about their uplifting trials as they waited for answers. You will be inspired and honored to be reading of their heartfelt stories given to the Author, who brings them to life with her powerful writing style. You will laugh, cry, and rejoice! This book will be a delight to any person of faith and a must have to add to their collection of faith filled stories. C D SWANSON is a prolific writer who has written over seventeen books to date and continues to dazzle with her apparent love of the Lord through her humble and down to earth writing style. She writes for His glory and delivers another winner in our eyes. Her books have received "quiet critical acclaim" and she's the best kept secret that no one knows about. But, for her she states emphatically, "I give all the glory and honor to the Lord my God. It is for Him I write. So, as long as He knows, that is the most important thing for me."

Book The Oneness of the Eastern Heart and the Western Mind

Download or read book The Oneness of the Eastern Heart and the Western Mind written by Sri Chinmoy and published by Aum Publications. This book was released on 2014-03-22 with total page 1706 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This historic collection of all of Sri Chinmoy’s university lectures in eBook form has been released to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Sri Chinmoy’s arrival in the West on 13 April 1964. Sri Chinmoy’s very first university lecture was given at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, on 10 January 1968. It was entitled “Spirituality: What It Is and What It Is Not.” This inaugurated a whole era of talks which saw Sri Chinmoy travelling ceaselessly across the length and breadth of America and around the world to address the youth of each country. He would spend countless hours travelling by car or train to reach far- flung universities, sometimes visiting two or even three in the course of a single day. After many of these sublimely inspiring discourses, he would answer questions from the audience or spend time instructing sincere seekers in the age-old practices of concentration, meditation and contemplation. By the mid-seventies, Sri Chinmoy had spoken volumes and he began to include longer and longer periods of silent meditation in his lectures. Then, in 1984, in a significant departure from the spoken word, he introduced the theme of Peace Concerts. At these concerts, Sri Chinmoy would play his own soulful and devotional compositions on a variety of instruments of both Eastern and Western origin, meditating between each instrument and sometimes giving aphorisms on peace and related themes. In 2003 yet another form of Sri Chinmoy’s self-offering unfolded when he travelled to a number of universities to honour distinguished professors for their significant contributions to the betterment of humanity by physically lifting them overhead. This remarkable endeavour was part of his “Lifting Up the World With a Oneness-Heart” award programme. Thus, through words, silence, music and a combination of physical and spiritual upliftment, Sri Chinmoy has shared his profound spiritual message with the aspiring Truth- seekers and God-lovers of the university-world for four decades. Sri Chinmoy’s words are mantras for the modern age, reverberating in our hearts with their timeless and truly life-transforming wisdom. In his exquisite prose, which is suffused with the very breath and cadence of poetry, Sri Chinmoy has revealed all the many stages of the seeker’s journey towards the Golden Shores of the ever-transcending Beyond. For generations to come these three volumes will awaken the inner mounting cry of seekers everywhere to achieve the highest Goal of Yoga—union with God—in this life.

Book Quantum God

    Book Details:
  • Author : Michelle Langenberg
  • Publisher : Balboa Press
  • Release : 2013-07
  • ISBN : 1452571287
  • Pages : 297 pages

Download or read book Quantum God written by Michelle Langenberg and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2013-07 with total page 297 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If Quantum God were a Who, God would not be the judgmental, biased, and sometimes malicious Old Man in the Sky many of us grew up with, but rather the All where everything is possible and pulsating with potential. If Quantum God were a What, God might be the fabric that connects every idea, every desire, every personality, and everything in a pulsating, energetic, ever-Becoming Whole. If Quantum God were a Where, God could be the Higgs-Boson "God Particle" upon which angels dance or an "everywhere" with ever-burgeoning dimensions well beyond our comprehension of the universe as we know it. If Quantum God were a Why, God would exist because creativity cannot be contained or restrained, but seeks free-flowing expression, expanding in waves and ripples of idea-become-event. Yet Quantum God may be most like a How--the how behind everything we know and "laws" we can only guess at, the how that lays the groundwork for miracles as commonplace occurrences and composes a theme from the frequency (or vibration) of joy. Quantum God: How Life Really Works sheds light on the misconceptions that limit us and offers insights that can free us to be the true powers we really are, seemingly magical beings who create with godlike abilities. When we understand the invisible workings of the universe, we stop being victims of creative laws we don't understand. These laws rule our lives, whether we comprehend them or not. What could we do if we understood them? Is there anything we could not do? Miracles are the way life is meant to work. Quantum God tells about how we shortchange ourselves, our true creative potential, how our hopes and dreams, fears and feelings of inadequacy create our experiences, how to rise out of depression, victimhood, and blame to find joy and peace, how to believe in ourselves and live with confidence and optimism. You are now what you think you are -- but you're actually so much more! You can become whatever you believe is possible. Learn how to redefine yourself.

Book Under the Shadow of the Almighty

Download or read book Under the Shadow of the Almighty written by Elena Bujor and published by TEACH Services, Inc.. This book was released on with total page 297 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The post-war times were hard for poor Romania, especially for the peasants. After Communism came to power, they were deprived of their most basic means of livelihood. A few years after the end of the war, the Iorga family, like many other well-to-do families, was left in poverty. By the time Elena was a toddler, the food was more and more scarce. … One day, she looked at her mother's tear-stained face in bewilderment as their food supplies were being confiscated." Life was difficult for everyone in Communist Romania but especially hard for Seventh-day Adventists. On Elena's first day of first grade, her teacher called the roll; when Elena stood and told her name, the teacher called her an "'idiot child' who believed in God, went to church on Saturday, and thought she would go to heaven. And, to make the children laugh at me, he said sarcastically, 'When the Lord comes to take you to heaven, I will cling to your foot, and I will get there, too.'" But thanks to a loving family and close-knit church family, Elena grew up secure in their love and God's love. She attended college to become a dental lab technician. Her first marriage ended in divorce, but she was left with a son, Silviu, the light of her life. After emigrating to the United States, she worked as a housekeeper and eventually found love again with Emil Bujor, who became a true father to Silviu. Elena endeavors to see and listen to God's will for her and her little family through it all. You'll laugh and cry at the ups and downs of Elena and Emil's lives as they struggle to understand and follow God's leading through the years.

Book The Providence and Grace of God

Download or read book The Providence and Grace of God written by Karen Jo Smith and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2015-12-09 with total page 68 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Providence and Grace of God is author Karen Jo Smith's love letter to the Lord. It presents a story of faith that began in a shelter for battered women, where she discovered the miraculous grace of God. When she found herself in the shelter, she asked God to reveal himself to her through his love and he did! Words are insufficient to describe the reality of the miracles that she has been so privileged to experience at the very hands of God. In this collection of true stories, she recounts the many acts of kindness that she has experienced through God's grace. Her touching tales of God's miraculous love in the face of so many challenges have truly uplifted her spirit and have provided her with a life purpose. She has made a humble attempt to glorify God by writing about her challenges and struggles. She has also come to know that through prayer and a strong faith in Jesus, all things are possible. It is the desire of her heart that you know that no matter how far you think you have fallen, and no matter how unworthy you may feel, God truly loves you. Her stories encourage you to take a leap of faith and simply trust in The Providence and Grace of God.

Everyone has a sense of spirituality; some just haven’t met it yet. If you are looking for a new way to view life, I invite you to check out Centers for Spiritual Living at CSL.org. I also encourage speakers, ministers, teachers, and others to share these ideas in your own way to inspire other people. To this end, I invite you to explore one lesson each week, by yourself or in a group. I hope you enjoy reading these thoughts on spirituality as much as I enjoyed writing them."

If you believe in God, open your heart and mind, because there's so much more to discover and learn. If you don't believe in God, but would at least agree, there has to be more to life than what meets the eye, why not explore the possibility of God? What do you have to lose? What might you gain? Considering how often we are shocked, disgusted, sickened, and horrified by another mass shooting, the existence of evil can no longer be denied. Even law enforcement, and the media, refers to these horrific acts as "acts of pure evil." Then, when we look at the condition of our personal lives, the lives of those we care about, our family, our communities, our cities, and the nation, we can no longer ignore the evidence of the battle that exists between good and evil. We are in desperate need of a spiritual awakening. Our awareness and acknowledgment of the Spirit is the difference between living a life of spiritual defeat or spiritual victory. Our spirituality, and our dependence on the Spirit, affects our personal health and spiritual development. Based on what you are experiencing in your personal life, are you in need of a spiritual awakening? Then, Battle Cry could be exactly what you need, at precisely the right time. When it comes to God, nothing is by chance, so by virtue of the fact you are in possession of this book, you are one of the countless reasons why it was written.
