Knox, Nash, Liza J, Naomi's parents, and the whole village of Knockemout were all concerned about Waylay. It was nice to watch how those folks rallied around Waylay and showed her love and support. Plus, you could see that Waylay valued having that feeling of actual family around her, especially because she had never experienced it before. At first, Naomi tried to find ways to connect with Waylay and give her all of the things she needed. Fortunately, Knox, the grouchy resident, went out of his way to assist Naomi with Waylay.
