This book was released on 2020-04-30 with total page 92 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ABOUT BOOK In this study, Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University and Bishkek Humanities University students' level of study skills and their differences; students' ability to prepare for the lesson and exam, their exam anxiety and time management were examined. Today, people experience changes and developments within the framework of education. Rapidly developing technology and artificial intelligence demand better innovations from the human brain. This, of course, causes changes in educational programs. These days, new generations are expected to be 'world citizens' where students are expected to speak, at least, in two foreign languages, have a good knowledge of technology, good communication skills and be successful in everything else. These expectations increase responsibilities of a student in the education and training process and often cause difficulties in adapting to changing conditions. The university student's adaptability to good study skills from the first year will help him/her easily overcome most academic challenges and take advantage of learning opportunities. As we know, learning is a lifelong skill, and when mastered, it will have positive effects with every new beginning. When the student knows his/her style better, he/she becomes more motivated and learns how to use his/her time correctly so that he/she will be more successful in further academic career. By adapting good study skills, students gain a great opportunity to overcome all possible obstacles in the educational process. Good study skills help students take advantage of learning opportunities, reduce exam stress, and help students feel safe (Devine, 1987). Exam anxiety occurs with physical and psychological changes and generally affects student's educational performance negatively. Unfortunately, the results of the exam determine the success of the student in the intensive education life. Under the pressure of parents and society, students are not being able to show their true knowledge. Therefore, instead of putting pressure on students, trying to motivate even their smallest achievements will bring positive results.

Download or read book Kyrgyzstan Bishkek and Tien Shan written by Stephen Platt and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2017 with total page 46 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I went to Kyrgyzstan as part of the EU SENSUM team investigating using remote sensing to map hazards and monitor disaster recovery. We ran a scenario planning game in Bishkek with Emergency personnel from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Our host takes us to a night club. It's in a vast concert bunker. We toast each other unmercifully with vodka shots until encouraged onto the dance floor where we dance with a group of attractive young girls they call the 'jet-set'. We went for a walk in the snow covered Tien Shan and walked up the Ala Acha gorge. We wanted to see snow leopard, but all we saw were the inquisitive marmots and circling eagles. Having forgotten my trainers I had only sandals to keep my feet warm. Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan is a fascinating city, with its tree-lined boulevards, Soviet 'brave new world' architecture and a huge statue of Lenin pointing towards a future long gone. Bishkek is a city on the ancient 'silk-road' and there is a relaxed human feel to the place.

Many people have that question as they travel, or as the live and work around the world. The body of Christ has not been inactive in providing for their need. Around the world, international churches have been planted, serving the needs of diverse, mobile congregations, speaking multiple languages, but finding themselves in one place and of one accord for the gospel. From Bangkok to Bishkek, Budapest to Bogotá is the fascinating and inspiring history of the over 2,000 international, English language, international Protestant churches scattered in almost every non-English-speaking country around the world. Serving expatriates, travelers, students and others who live outside their homeland, these churches, while often unknown or recognized, provide a compelling story of ministry not only to expats but to English-speaking local citizens as well. This history, and these stories, will inspire you and energize you with the realization of the way in which God's work is carried out in so many different localities and situations. Pastors, missionaries, business travelers, and international students can all benefit from reading this book, while researchers looking into the work of the church around the world will find a wealth of historical information, much of it first hand.
