Book Beyond The Reiki Frontiers

Download or read book Beyond The Reiki Frontiers written by Vlad T. Popescu and published by Osmora Incorporated. This book was released on 2014-09-25 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Due to its pragmatism, so easily to be recognized and appreciated by the hectic contemporary man, this system of spiritual evolution, which doesn’t refuse itself the aspect of complementary therapy, has spread tremendously in the last years, offering you the feeling it has always been here, moreover it has become a common denominator of therapies and techniques of spiritual evolution and can hardly be ignored by anyone. I recognize and appreciate tradition. I respect it! However, my aim is to bring this system beyond its frontiers and to meditate upon the involved philosophical concepts. I hope to offer a chance for meditation to the ones who have experience and to bring answers to the ones who are at the beginning of their path.

Book Frontiers of Knowledge Scientific and Spiritual Sources for a New Era

Download or read book Frontiers of Knowledge Scientific and Spiritual Sources for a New Era written by Douglas Kinney and published by Mira Digital Publishing. This book was released on 2014-06-06 with total page 490 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Frontiers of Knowledge is the story of unfolding developments that are revolutionizing our understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe. We are birthing a new era in which our ideas about the nature and source of reality are swiftly changing. Insights from quantum physics suggest that the basis of our physical world is actually mental—conscious thoughts. Other discoveries are causing us to redefine our concepts of mind and the elusive thing we call consciousness. All strongly hint that spirituality is the underlying source of everything. Frontier scientists and scientifically trained researchers are providing us with a rich and expanding base of knowledge through systematic investigations of startling phenomena that have been observed in quantum physics, cosmology, biology, psychology, disease and healing, death, near-death experiences, reincarnation experiences, and those occurring in spiritual hypnosis on the nature of the spiritual realm. New concepts of reality are especially needed to explain the incredibly finetuned characteristics and the mysterious nature of our physical universe. Ninety-five percent of the universe’s energy and mass are a mystery to scientists, and for the moment, we resort to naming them dark matter and dark energy. The last time a comparable knowledge revolution occurred was in the late sixteenth century when astronomers determined that the planets revolved around the sun, not the earth. Historians call it the Copernican Revolution because it led to modern Western science. From one perspective, the new era predicted in this book—a revolution in its own right—can be considered the completion of the quantum revolution by defining and explaining the role of consciousness in our universe. An underlying aspect of this new revolution is the sense that humanity is moving into a new era of rapidly expanding knowledge of the human spirit (our soul aspect) and non-physical realities. Until now, this emerging knowledge has not been organized into a coherent and comprehensive structure. Frontiers of Knowledge provides the first outline of this new structure of reality.

Book Places Beyond Belief

Download or read book Places Beyond Belief written by Michael K. Yen and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2020-08-13 with total page 207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 2017, Michael completed the first book in his planned trilogy, From Physical to Metaphysical in Four Steps and One Giant Leap where he explored how we can separate from our materialistic attachment by seeing past our bodies, our emotions, and our thoughts. After these three "steps," Michael illustrated how by enhancing and refining our life energy, we can take "one giant leap" into metaphysical consciousness. In Places Beyond Belief, he expands on the concepts raised in the first book and also details some of his out-of-body experiences (OBE) that offer direct evidence of how the non-physical envelops our material reality. Michael also tells the story of how encounters in material reality with ghosts, qigong masters, psychics, a "living Buddha," and extraterrestrials prepared him for having OBEs. Building on the events covered in the first book, Michael recounts how in trying to uncover the true nature of his UFO experiences, he turned to using OBEs as a way to find answers about the reality of the beings he encountered. What he found was not what he expected and lead to his discovery of the field of spirit-release therapy and the large body of psychological literature that the subject has produced since William Baldwin’s Spirit Releasement Therapy: A Technique Manual was published in 1995. While disclosing intimately personal experiences to illustrate his points, Michael also takes time to discuss the big issues of the day, highlighting how personal and spiritual development is intricately linked to how well we live in the material world. Coming three years after his first book, Places Beyond Belief follows Michael's journey deeper into the metaphysical world that he was only first discovering when he wrote One Giant Leap. By daring to let direct experience be the guide, Michael went to places beyond belief, and came back to write about it.

Book Alternate Currents

Download or read book Alternate Currents written by Justin B. Stein and published by University of Hawaii Press. This book was released on 2023-09-30 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the second half of the twentieth century, Reiki went from an obscure therapy practiced by a few thousand Japanese and Japanese Americans to a global phenomenon. By the early twenty-first century, people in nearly every corner of the world have undergone the initiations that authorize them to channel a cosmic energy—known as Reiki—to heal body, mind, and spirit. They lay hands on themselves and others, use secret symbols and incantations to send Reiki to distant recipients, and strive to follow five precepts to cultivate their spiritual growth. Reiki’s international rise and development is due to the work of Hawayo Takata (1900–1980), a Hawai‘i-born Japanese American woman who brought Reiki out of Japan and adapted it for thousands of students in Hawai‘i and North America, shaping interconnections across the North Pacific region as well as cultural transformations over the transwar period spanning World War II. Alternate Currents: Reiki’s Circulation in the Twentieth-Century North Pacific analyzes how, from her training in Japan in the mid-1930s to her death in Iowa in 1980, Takata built a vast trans-Pacific network that connected Japanese American laborers on plantations in Hawai‘i to social elites in Tokyo, Hollywood, and New York; middle-class housewives in American suburbs; and off-the-grid tree planters in the mountains of British Columbia. Using recently uncovered archival materials and original oral histories, Justin B. Stein examines how these relationships between healer and patient, master and disciple, became deeply infused with values of their time and place and how they interplayed with Reiki’s circulation, performance, and meanings along with broader cultural shifts in the twentieth-century North Pacific. Highly readable and informative, each chapter is structured around a period in the life of Takata, the charismatic, rags-to-riches architect of the network in which Reiki spread for decades. Alternate Currents explores Reiki as an exemplary transnational spiritual therapy, demonstrating how lived practices transcend artificial distinctions between religion and medicine, and circulate in global systems while maintaining strong connections with the practices’ homeland.

Download or read book Reiki and Beyond written by Malana Ashlie and published by . This book was released on 2015-05-10 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why Another Reiki Book? My husband and I are rule benders, not followers. As we entered the Reiki world we honored and respected what our teachers gave us but eventually had to expand the boundaries as experience, new information, and greater understanding came to us. We were also fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in the Hilo area of the Big Island of Hawai'i for six years. Hilo is where Mrs. Takata, the woman responsible for bringing Reiki to the Western world, established one of her Reiki clinics and we would pass it each time we traveled to the grocery store. Seeing the building gave the intangible a greater concrete reality. The greatest influence however, was in living shoulder to shoulder with island folks and witnessing how ancient knowledge and beliefs infuse their 21st century lives. For island residents there is no separation between spiritual, religious and technical. The Hawaiian tradition recognizes there is an energy that connects all life, they call this energy mana. This energy force can be sensed but not seen, like the Ki of Reiki. Most people can only relate to a world they can see, but Hawaiians have a greater sensitivity and respect, possibly from living surrounded by water. Their acceptance and reason offered logic to what might have seemed mythical and outside rationale to our otherwise conventional training. It offered even greater understanding of what Reiki had introduced and seemed an open invitation for us to test the limits. As you grow in your Reiki experience you'll find that there are many interesting Reiki books to read. The exact history and spiritual practice of the originator of the Usui method and how he taught was written jointly by Mikao Usui, and Christine Grimm. It is a book serious students might find of interest. There are also others just as fascinating based on each authors views and personal journeys. They might cover how you feel when first using this energy, or how to work with animals, or a greater focus on distance healings. Each one has a different twist, containing excellent information for targeted levels and areas of interest.Within the pages of this book we share with you the conventional Reiki training we were given and also tools to expand your consciousness and go beyond. Aloha,e komo mai. (Welcome, and come in) Malana Ashlie

Book New Frontiers in Aging

Download or read book New Frontiers in Aging written by Olga Brom Spencer and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2008-10-30 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As elders are living longer and healthier lives, these additional years call for what author Olga Spencer explains is a new vision and fulfillment of the senior stage. Here psychologist Spencer pinpoints how we can transform our perception of aging, changing from seeing senior years as a time of decline, to seeing this stage as a great opportunity for final, ultimate development. We can all transform our lives, to recognize new, unexpected and vital experiences and potentials, she explains. Enlisting fields as diverse as psychology, medical science, physics and cosmology, Spencer shows us the new frontiers in aging, and how our choices determine our destiny. Spencer also focuses on peak experiences, those moments that are for us validation of life lived fully and with passion, and their importance to seniors to not only fulfillment but also biological wellness and independence ce. Three of her book's major points are that aging begins in the mind, that aging is an obsolete concept, and that lifestyle (not age) determines successful aging. This thought-provoking book, written with the assistance of two medical doctors and a registered dietician, will interest any readers over 50 who want to live their senior years to their fullest, as well as their family members and loved ones, in addition to social workers, mental health professionals, medical professionals, clergy and other professionals in roles caring for seniors.

Book Exoconsciousness

Download or read book Exoconsciousness written by Rebecca Hardcastle PhD and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2008-12-27 with total page 238 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Exoconsciousness: Your 21st Century Mind invites readers to advance their consciousness beyond earthly pursuits, beckoning them toward an extraterrestrial identity. Where the mind travels, the body and emotions follow, the author, Rebecca Hardcastle, says. In the 1950s, space exploration prompted many people to contemplate the possibility that humans might well have extraterrestrial origins. From this launching point, Hardcastle conceived Exoconsciousness to describe the extraterrestrial origins, dimensions and abilities of human consciousness. In a short span of fifty years of space exploration, humans are now searching for answers to questions that previously they dared not contemplate, Hardcastle writes. Many questions are obvious, even urgent. Did humans originate off-planet? Are we a seeded race? Who, what and where are our legacies? With whom and how we are connected? Exoconsciousness answers these questions and many more. Hardcastle broadens the definition of consciousness, integrating personal anecdotes and testimony with contemporary brain research. She asks whether the human brain is balancing to become an extraterrestrial-like unified mind.Exoconsciousness is a heightened physical experience. It demands being fully present in the body, on a cellular, DNA and quantum level, in order to transform quickly and easily. Throughout the book, Hardcastle provides easy-to-use exercises to enhance readers exoconsciousness, as well as an extensive glossary for readers to formulate a new vocabulary. Expand your cosmic awareness with this thought-provoking new guide.
